Subject: Non-Unidentified Vehicles

BTW antp you thought introducing a designation as "Custom Made Racecar" ?

those cars (specialy in lower forumulas like dirt racing) were build in small shops or garages so you can't apply any manufacterr and model to them really

Sure we could, but there are many race cars for which the name of the guy or the engine can be found by searching race results with the car number when the movie filmed scenes in an actual race.
It often happened that many race cars were identified that way.
Maybe those aren't identifiable, but we should not too quickly list all of them to Custom Made as in the past many were identified (but maybe those identifying them aren't on the site anymore).

hey guys, does anyone know what the old white car is that the black kids are driving in Sons Of Anarchy, Season 4: Episode 3?

Edit: sorry for double post. Went back on page then
forward again. So it posted again. Did not see it.

You already asked that on the previous page, but it is not the right place for that. You should post that directly on the page of the series on the site, you'll have more luck getting an anwser from people watching the series

this has been ID last year http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=500077

antp AFAIK a rule is the vehicle needs to be self propelled to be eligible? this also has been ID last year, I only confirm it but the vehicle seems like it wasn't really self propeled which means its up for removal ??

But as you posted a comment on it yesterday it was not useful to bring it here now

pre 1966 when Caterpiller D8 had almost monopoly on bulldozers

and from what little you see in that pic the shape and grills seems to perfectly match

Give antp a break, mike962. Looks to me like you're testing his patience.

If I do not reply after you bring it here it just means I do not know / do not care / let others decide
(though that indeed do not have much interest to list...)
19/08/2013 @ 17:05:21: mike962: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
I only asked because as a contribuitor I got many 1 star NOT validated which looked a lot more clearly than that , where you can't even distiguish any things really...

anyway military vehicles unknown list shrunk dramaticaly from 4 pages to almost 1 page  ... now wanted to ask about a bunch of North Korea military vehicles , there seems to be 4 manufacters for army :

Tanks and Arms
1) First Machine Industry Bureau - supplier of machine guns, likely Type 62 Light Machine Gun and Type 73 Light Machine Gun
2) Ryu Kyong-su Tank Factory - Sinhung South Hamgyong Province
3) Second Machine Industry Bureau - Sŏngch'ŏn-kun, South Pyongan Province - builds Chonma-ho and Pokpung-ho MBT; likely Chuch'e-Po and Koksan artillery gun
4) Tokhyon Munitions Plant

now since there is no info really due to ultra paranoic and psychopatic regime behavior about this vehicles (not even their real official model designation) you think perhaps list manufacterer as "North Korea" and have them changed in case this criminal regime becomes more open or finally falls ?
19/08/2013 @ 17:07:03: antp: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
It would maybe be a good idea to rather open a discussion about that in the "Naming convention" section, and see what others think of it
20/08/2013 @ 19:19:37: mike962: Non-Unidentified Vehicles
my mini military marathon is near its end , was fun to ID them  :joce:

not the target car but IMO could be taken instead, the Studabaker Avanti in the background, the racecar in foreground near impossible to ID without its body, plus we want to keep Commander 57 happy  ( the Avanti is rare on imcdb)
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=160992

OR if you want to keep the racecar, maybe a separate entry for the Avanti could be submited

this one needs category change , another Riot vehicles
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_306837.html
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_306831.html

this was ID , yeah I admit, could alos be chinese or east european copies of T-55 but with very poor grab and no context safest thing to list the original model , I am refering to the vehicle on the right in foreground

Indeed we can list the Avanti
... 28 29 30 31 32 33 34 ... 272
