so dont know wether 1885 or 86)

The full name is 'Benz Patent-Motorwagen Nummer 1'. The patent was applied for on January 29th, 1886, and the first public test drive was done on July 3rd, 1886. Secret test runs were already done in 1885, but at that time the vehicle was not complete.
BTW, I like the category: Racing Cars!
