No photo because the one I took with my smartphone was terrible (it was at night) but I've seen a Hongqi in town ! It was an e-HS9, an electric luxury SUV that looks nice from the back but horrible from the front.

There is a distributor for Belgium (or maybe just Flanders, given the location of their three dealerships), and the prices start at 70.000 €. Good luck to them.

I already made a post about it back in 2022:

They sell reasonably well in Norway. Yesterday I saw a white one as a taxi. In addition to the e-HS9, we also have the Voyah Free, BYD Tang and the NIO ES8 in the large electric SUV segment.
I notice that the Scorpio and Punto have been scrapped since I made that post
what the hell is wrong with people...

Took this a while back:
Yeah, it's a replica, but it's not the worst I have seen.
I took a picture of the X1/9 behind it, too - but the driver stared at me so I left it at the cutting room floor.

We had a few of them in our family. My dad had several in a row as a company car, and my grandfather bought the burgundy 1990 626, and my brother bought the green 1992. Then my dad had a bunch of GE and GF versions before he switched over to VW Passats/CCs.

Thanks UKBoy! Nice 9000, no rust, just the little headlamp wiper motors stuck in a random position. Made by Bosch in Belgium. I blame the German engineering though.

Nice spec B3, thanks a lot John! I think I've spotted only one pre-A* Audi model (a 100 C4 saloon) in the UK when visiting my wife so far. They must keep them nice and warm in the garages!

A couple of recent finds:
1996 Ford Mondeo SW 1.8 16V, these used to be very, very common but now they've become rather scarce, especially Mk1s:
1989 Renault 21 1.7 GTS Logos, an example never seen before and in excellent shape, with only 67.000 km registered at last inspection:
Before this one I hadn't seen an R21 in at least 3 years.

Saw an orange McLaren P1 with a Michigan licence plate on my way back home from the store with my mom earlier.

Saw a 2011 Tesla Roadster here in Australia recently. Apparently, only 18 exist in the country. This one was built in the UK, according to the VIN.

Today while out for a walk, 1981-83 Golf I inmidst an overgrown meadow backlot of worthless late 90s clunkers, still in good condition as far as I could see
Really taken aback at the sight of one in a junkyard and...I think a Matra Rancho a few numbers down??
EDIT: I found the location and was right!
Not only that, there's another on the other side with two Murenas and Rootes-crap!
The Golf was still there two years ago, this is the best view I can get of it on StreetView:

With the Espace, it seems to be a Matra collection
worthless late 90s clunkers
90s cars are now more than 20 years old (1990 was 34 years ago !), some start being collectibles
(and will disappear fast, like some of the 80s)
07/02/2024 @ 12:25:29: dsl: interesting/funny/special cars sightings
2 Matra Murenas beside the white Espace - lots of bonus points for them.

^As I mentioned
The coherence between them does seem to indicate he does have some sort of affinity for them. Hopefully if these are not restoration objects, at least donor cars
