Mine is a "her"
(I think ...
)
In Spanish it wouldn't
though in México it would, because they use a different word

I know it's your car taxiguy, and I don't want to impose my opinions on you, but, you don’t plan on "pimping" the car do you? (I think the car looks elegant in factory guise, not with big spinning wheels, and lights underneath, etc. )
Oh no, no way I would ever do that to any car. I hate it when people do that sort of stuff, it's so dumb looking and it completely ruins a car. Also I don't have the money to buy those expensive rims or gold/chrome trim pieces anyway, even if I wanted them (which I certainly don't). The most customizing that I'm going to do to this car is maybe a pinetree-shaped air freshener on the rearview mirror

For anyone who is interested, a short video of me starting the car (originally made for CCF
)
I just can't get enough of that sweet rumble of the car's V8

taxiguy, does the Automatic transmission have a Electronic "Push button" O/D (Overdrive) Lock-Out ? Or does it have the "Shift mode" O/D Lock-Out ?
20/10/2008 @ 22:27:30: CarChasesFanatic: Car for sale
By what i could see in the pictures it seems to have a "normal" "D" and a "D" inside of a circle that may indicate the "overdrive" no?
20/10/2008 @ 22:54:36: Neptune: Car for sale
Yes, indeed, I see now in the next to last photo. The car has "Shift mode" O/D Lock-Out. The plain letter "D" indicates the Overdrive gear is disabled (denying the transmission access to the final gear) So the AOD Automatic transmission will shift from 1-2-3 only. When the letter "D" (placed within a circle or solid color circle) is selected, Overdrive is enabled. So the AOD Automatic transmission will shift from 1-2-3-4.

taxiguy, do you like this old square 'Grand Marquis' more than the current one ? I thought you liked the 1992+ Crown Vic's/Marquis ?? Just curious. Nice car btw.

I like them both equally, I couldn't chose which one I like better. Both styles are nice in their own way.
And thanks for the compliment!

Nice car taxiguy! Alas, older cars are much more aesthetically pleasing at the cost of poor gas mileage.
12/04/2009 @ 21:16:32: taxiguy: Car for sale
Well it's not so much because of age, as it is simply becuase it has a very large V8 engine
17 MPG isn't even bad for this car, as I thought in the beginning. It gets a solid 13 in pure city driving, though it's been up to 23 on pure-highway miles.
But I just say oh well. I didn't buy Grand Marquis to be a gas saver, and since gas is cheap these days, who cares?

Beautiful car! I've always like the way the '88-'91 Grand Monkey looks.
