Subject: Someone please fix Olds 98 already....

Well, it's nice to see that the Olds 88/Eighty-Eight situation was worked out, but unfortunately 98/Ninety-Eight is still split down the middle. My proposition is simple, every 98 from 1971 forward shall be called "Ninety-Eight" and every one before 1971 be called "98". Can an admin please do this change? Thanks.

Just one remaining:

is it 1970 (98) or 1971+ (Ninety-Eight) ?

That'd be a 1971+ Ninety-Eight

The solution may be simple, but it depends how factually accruate we wish to be. Without repeating the content of my thread regarding the 98/Ninety-Eight debacle, I will ask once more whether we would like to use the badging that was placed on the car of that series, or if we are to use the nomenclature that was in publications official to the brand or marque (suck as sales journals, magazine advertisements, TV-ads, or other official print media.

This is why this case is not yet closed.

One can find examples of the numerical or alphabetical badges used in various years from the 1960s through the 1980s.

Yeah, it'b been awhile since I've roamed these parts!
