Vauxhall models seem to be exactly the same. Except that the
Zafira Life is sold as
Vivaro Life in U.K.
Can't think why they wouldn't use the Zafira name really

Another dead model, Infiniti in the US has discontinued the Q70 sedan for 2020. It also discontinued the 4-cylinder 2.0t Q50, making the 6-cyl 3.0t as the base engine. They are introducing a new base Pure trim for the 3.0t.

Sad for the loss of jobs, a little bit for the Flex but about time for the MKT..
29/10/2019 @ 02:46:14: Terra: Soon in movies (or not)
Wasn’t aware the MKT was ending production. What does that mean for the Limousine? The MKT was pretty much the Town Cars replacement for Limos and Hearses for Lincoln

I guess the new Aviator is expected to pick up that void?

As a Limo, makes sense. But as a hearse? Thats a stretch

Maybe because the Movano will get a PSA-sourced replacement in the near future, and Opel decided not to bother too much with the current one ?

I forgot to mention in my Yaris post from last page, that by "everywhere", I also meant that Toyota is dropping the Vitz name in the japanese market.
And speaking of streamlining, another big change is happening in Japan next year : Toyota's four dealer networks (Toyota, Toyopet, Corolla & Netz) will offer the full range of cars. Until now, they all had their exclusive models, and that's the reason why Toyota has offered the same cars under several names with some cosmetic changes (Corolla & Sprinter, Mark II & Chaser & Cresta, and so on).
Now, having a unified range across the dealer networks means some duplicate models will disappear. The Allion and Premio are getting replaced by the new Corolla, and I guess there will be at least one victim among the Noah/Voxy/Esquire minivan triplets.

I was thinking from the production side: if Renault, Nissan and Opel versions are made in the same factory, using 2 assembly lines to provide the 2 (strongly) different front faces is certainly not the most efficient nor the least costly method...

I first thought it was a joke, with its "post-atomic future" design from the 1980s. But it has already
its dedicated page on Tesla's website, so we may assume that the Tesla
Cybertruck is not a April fool's joke...

The launch date is apparently late 2021. But some small details have to be fixed before

Buick is killing all versions of the Regal for the US and Canada after the 2020 model year. They will continue to sell the model in China. So that means starting next year, Buick will only have crossovers in it's North American lineup. They are adding a 4th soon with the Encore GX.

The sedan market in the US is rapidly dying

Won't be long before more full size sedans are gone. I predict the Chevrolet Impala and Ford Taurus will be next.
04/12/2019 @ 20:24:33: night cub: Soon in movies (or not)
They've already announced the demise of those two, it's only a matter of time. Chevy only has plans for the Malibu moving forward and the Fusion is on borrowed time (though Ford keeps extending the end date)

Might want to add the Chrysler 300 to the list. I don't think that one will last much longer.
