Porsche is mid-80s - I think side indicators on US 911s were about 85+, a few years later than rest of world (81+). Small headlight squirters look right, and no fogs in rear reflector panel, which was later 80s. Still away from my books, so can't definitely check, but I think that's about right.

I'm wondering if it is a European model? Looking at pics, it appears to have smaller bumper guards in the rear than the US models I've looked at. Though I'm not certain if the widebody package was available on the Targa models. It could be something heavily modified?
1984 was the first model year in the US for the Carrera, replacing the SC.
BTW, I tried the plate and nothing came up, which may support it being a Euro model. A 1984-1985 US model should have been accessible to Autocheck.

It's been tweaked from any normal version for front spoiler at least. Turbo-look body (arches etc) was 86+ on Carrera Targa. I'd assumed it was USA spec from location, but Euro import also possible, if that makes sense from the plate check void. Doesn't have fogs in rear panel, so I wouldn't put it later than 86.
