Falcon Crest # 025 <2.07>

I'm trying to identify this red convertible from a deleted scene filmed in the summer of 1982.

I know it was shot, and so says the shooting script as well as the call sheet. The only thing remaining from the segment is this publicity still.

Any ideas which make and model this might be?

Thanks for taking a look.

Looks like a Chrysler LeBaron with 1985 grille

But if really a convertible it should not have a red part over the windshield ( my cousin has a 1985 LeBaron Convertible )

if really open air, with the red top part and the seat belt's position, i'm thinking something with a T-Top..

night cub and Baube -- thanks a lot for your input. I think you are right. It's probably not a convertible, considering the red part over the windscreen. The script suggested a convertible so I assumed it was one, but it might have been changed shortly before filming, depending on the availability of the picture car, as it was often the case, particularly with rental cars on distant location. This scene was shot in the Napa Valley and not in the usual 30-mile studio zone in Los Angeles.

Chrysler LeBaron sounds pretty convincing, except the 1985 grille. This scene was filmed in the summer of 1982. Maybe a 1982 model or an earlier LeBaron generation?
