Well, I didn't start the thread (cars related to your life) but my post answered the question this thread asks. My dad hasn't had many cars while I've been alive because he buys reliable cars and he makes them last. And since he was the sole breadwinner in our family all the cars on the driveway were technically his, not my mum's. Although usually he drives the smaller car to work every day because it uses up less petrol, which is expensive in the UK.

Anyway, here's the list again:

As for the cars he had before I was born, I think his first car was a Morris 1000 Traveller (which sat rotting in my grandad's front garden for over 20 years) or maybe it was a Mini (which he had a big crash in), then when he got his first real job after university he bought a 1974 Triumph Spitfire MkIV, which he later sold to buy the Cortina. My mum had Minis before I was born. My dad also now owns a 2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster 1200.

i remember my Dad having a Dodge Van that had a painting on the side of it (cause it was the 70's). He then had a Dodge Mirada or the square headlight Cordoba and then a late 70's Cadillac DeVille.

My Mom the farthest back that I can remember is a Ford LTD Country Squire in brown. Then a silver Ford Torino. Then a blue Chrysler Cordoba, Then a 87 Dodge Charger in burghandy. Then an 89 Accord which my stepdad hated because he worked for a railroad union and wanted her to buy something made in the US. That car burnt up so she bought a '92 Accord coupe. Her latest car I helped her pick out was an '07 Honda CRV which she loves.

Before I was born, I know my dad had a 1960's Pontiac GTO, a 1970's Pontiac Firebird, a 1960's Tempest and a few 1970's Ford trucks. My mom didn't get her first car until the late 1970's. It was a '71 Chevy (Impala I think). She described it as a beautiful car in a deep red. She said she loved it. In the early 1980's she let her brother use it. He got drunk, tried to drive, then proceeded to crash it into a parked truck. After that she had a Toyota Corolla wagon and a '89 F-150 XL (we still have that, but it doesn't run).

Still safer than a motorbike. Although my dad probably isn't as old as your dad! Actually I don't worry too much about my dad on that bike, because he's very sensible and he doesn't tear up the road in it (that's why he bought a Harley instead of some sports bike), but there are so many cars on the road in England (you wouldn't believe it) and so many idiots on our roads, Dad never forgets that, so he's always careful. However every biker prepares themself for the fact they will likely come off some day.

I don't know for my dad or step dad, but my mom had a bunch of company cars which for some reason sometimes they were traded off with her brother (my uncle) This is what I remember:

The only cars I remember my dad having is his 1989 Toyota pickup that he has had since I was born, A Datsun, and a Valiant.

My step dad has a GMC Sierra 2500 currently.

He has had Some Toyota Trucks, Chevys, Volkswagen for his first car, and one Ford which he didn't like.

I don't remember every vehicle my parents have owned in exact order, but I do know that before my parents got married, my father had a 1963 Chevrolet Impala sedan. I've even got some of the paperwork, and it stated that one of the options he got was a "P.B. Radio." I thought that meant Police Band, but more than likely it meant "Push Button."

I also know that at some point prior to marrying my father, my mother had a Volkswagen Beetle, and after that, a Ford Falcon station wagon from the early-1960's.

After this, they had the 1966 Plymouth Fury I station wagon, I've bragged about. Dad also bought a 1963 Plymouth Belvedere he was planning to fix up, and possibly restore. My brothers and I trashed the thing, because we didn't think he was going to do anything with it but let it rot near our driveway. I don't know if they think about it, but I regret doing it.
