Anyone know what car this is?

When I was little I went to some exhibit with my family maybe from national geographic or something and they had this car there. Does anyone know what car this is?

- Only about 50 produced
- Possibly a concept car (for the reason above)
- From the late 1940s or early 1950s
- Possibly from Cadillac
- It had 3 headlights (regular round sealed-beam headlights used on all cars up until the 1970s.) The third headlight was in the middle of the front of the car on the grille I guess.

Does anyone know what mystery car this is?

Sounds a lot like the Tucker Torpedo. It more or less fits all those descriptions, except for the part about being from Cadillac.

I was also going to say Tucker (1948).

Tucker Torpedo. Of 50 or so produced over 40 remain. Flat 6 Franklin engine,rear-mounted, modified from air-cooled helicopter engine. These cars still look "contemporary" nearly 60 years after being introduced.

Further trivia: Frances Ford Coppola is a huge Tucker fan. He directed "Tucker: The Man and His Dream", and when I did some work at his place in Rutherford, I got to see the six he then owned, tucked away in a barn there.
I'd thought the engines were Lycomings, but I'd not debate it.
