- No air outlets on tail wall, so painted crates cancelled. Extraordinary, 120 LS & 120 GLS kept their richy decorative crates.
- Hazard warning and reverse lights in all cars.
- Version 120 LSE for UK equipped with vinyl roof, sunroof, tinted glass, radio/casette player.

1980
- Black plastic spoiler-deflector on engine cover edge.

- The begining of export to Canada by SkoCar Inc. 120 L and 120 GLS were available for 1983 MY. They had sidemarkers, reinforced 5-mph-impact bumpers, the valve in carburattor keeping 1st stage throttle lifted when engine braking, the special equipment for petrol vapours capturing (actually these elements didn't work enough, that's why in 1988 all sold earlier Skodas were recalled by dealers, to try meet new restricted emissions standards. The Canadian specificated cars were assembled on dedicated production line in Vrchlabi factory.

- The major exterior facelift and body structure reconstruction. New front end with incorporated air dam. The aerodynamic drag cutted down from 0.415 to 0.39.
- Significantly wider wheel tread (+60...+70 mm) giving up to 10 % higher cornering forces with no spin out.

- At least one rear fog light always added.
- Two air inlets in front spoiler for better brakes cooling.
- Trapezoidal headlights came to 120 base and 120 L cars also.
- 120 GLS lost extra silver slat around tail wall, however kept its unusual spoiler on engine cover, with badges ('SKODA' on left, '120 GLS' on right).
- The new model 130 L with 1289 cc engine, equipped similar to 120 GLS, with same head rests, dedicated streamlined wheelcovers and special protection side claddings (ribbed instead plain):

- The off-season for Canadian SkoCar Inc. Any car sold because the new emission standards which Skoda couldn't pass, coming into effect on January 1st, 1988.

- New instrument cluster for 130 and newly introduced models.
- New models 125L alias 120L 5-Speed for UK (instead 120 LX), 135L, 136L and 136 GL. The 135 GLi with electronically controlled, single-point fuel injection (Bendix) with catalythic converter for "green" markets, e.g. Austria, Canada, Finland and Switzerland.
- The 125 L is easy recognized by diferent shape of tail badge with smaller letters, bigger digits than 120 L. 130/135/136 has badges on rear bonnet spoiler.
- 105 L, 120 LS, 120 GLS and Rapid 130 ceased in July.

Hello colleagues,
My name is Rossen Kolev, from Bulgaria.
I would like to present you a tables with paint code of Š105, 120, 125, 130, 135 and 136. The tables are made by me and a friend of mine – Todor Tomov.

Seeking the code of the paint on my 120L, I came across quite sources, that information in it was different. Then we found in Internet most original brochures of the proposed colors for the Š105, 120, 125, 130, 135 and 136.
To be accurate, clear and complete the information, we made a table. It can be used to learn in what year, what kind of modifications and what colors were available. The sources of information are not random, but only official issues.
We used the help of employee of the museum in Mlada Boleslav, who sent us a few missing facts. She also paid attention to some spelling mistakes (in the Czech version) and our gaps, and then we sent her the latest version of the table. Meanwhile, the table was made in English and then shaped in four different ways to make it suitable for use in various ways and occasions (information in the four tables is the same). For the different modifications are used the factory indexes:
type 742 – for 105, 120, 125 and 130 (sedans, conventionally marked as S1)
type 743 – for Garde, Rapid 120 and Rapid 130 (coupes, conventionally marked as C1)
type 746 – for 135 and 136 (sedans, conventionally marked as S2)
type 747 – for Rapid 135 and Rapid 136 (coupes, conventionally marked as C2)

This is my Skoda.
As far as I know this type of Skoda was produced from 1982 to 1983. It was produced only for export, and that's why I've found German service book behind the rear seat, while I was cleaning the interior. In Poland, there are much more Skoda's with chrome bumpers. Plastic bumpers and rectangular lights (as my Skoda has) are unique.

It looks good! This color (2021 - béžová šampaň) is one of my favorites. My father's first car was 1982 120 L with the same color, but with chrome bumpers.
What modification is your car 105 or 120, L or GL?
Here, in Bulgaria, the black plastic bumpers are very rare, too. There were only S and L modifications of 105 and 120 on the market.

It's Skoda 105L, produced in 1983.
Are there many Skodas in Bulgaria? Was it a popular car?
Do you have some brochures, documents, invitations for Skoda shows?

I would like to ask you for your Skoda - is it an 105 L with rectangular or with round front lights? I am curious about this - is there an original 105 L modification with rectangular front lights and which years it was available?



These rectangular lights were made between 1981-1983 for 105 L, 120 L and 120 LE.
