My brother-in-law doesn't say it clearly, but unfortunately his Nilsson-Volvo is a total pratfall

The technic is o.k., but the body is worst. Very ugly rust-problems, especially at the parts, where the Nilssons have worked. If anyone is intersted, the price is debatable.

He has too much cars, so the

has to go, too. His wife is not interested in it, although it was a car of her childhood.

And last but not least, my wife's Polo bluemotion is available, too:

I failed to catch this precious item:

Together with a club-fellow I would have made the investion of max.300 EUR to make again, after so many years, a freaky K 70-wrecking-session. Only the fun would be worth that, the car itself is a helpless rotten wreck. As it accidentally is located in my village, I went there an did some pics.

The eBay-seller has shot himself in the foot. He bought this car only by pics for 1500 EUR via an advertise at www.mobile.de , where it was offered for 1990 EUR. After the purchase he realised, what a worthless wreck it really is and has put it immediately into eBay. He took even the photos from the former advertise.
His own fault. No mercy neccessary. If he would have asked us club-freaks before, this epic failure would have been avoidable.

For French people, CD means 1936-55 diplomatic corps plate (fr) (Corps Diplomatique, in French). And a red plate is a 1955-today temporary transit license plate (fr).
What does it mean in "K-70 language"?

No, not "K 70-language", there's no relation  I don't know, if in the 70ies there were more K 70 with these rerad plates than the one from the Czechoslovakian Embassy (which in 1990 was a wreck with regular DDR-plates)

Yes, it is a diplomatic plate from the DDR, from the Ambassador's car (the "01").
The clou -for me- is the "57", which stands for West Germany. So it's from

http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ständige_Vertretungen_der_Bundesrepublik_Deutschland_und_der_Deutschen_Demokratis- chen_Republik

Now I'm waiting for a blue "57" (blue plates were for accredited foreign journalists and other foreign non-diplomatic stuff) and for a West German diplomatic plate with a "160" (an old one, since the 90ies 160 is for Uzbekistan).

And annother dream is to get a -a real one, not a fake, which are swirring around- from

http://usmlm.us/

http://www.brixmis.co.uk/

http://www.mmflpotsdam.free.fr/

or SOXMIS http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_liaison_missions

I stay cool. Catching this plate above was again a confirmation of my attitude "Stay relaxed, be patient, establish contacts to everywhere and wait for it". It really works, for every kind of collectibles.

This Citroen CX shall be a "made for DDR-Nomenklatura"-version.

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Citroen-CX-prestige-/251992184392?nma=true&si=Uc5D3PVPw652ES6Mbh73bVplO6s%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc- &_trksid=p2047675.l2557

Can the Citroen-experts here verify it? The DDR-vehicle-title on one pic is from May 1990, so it can also be an used import after the collapse of The Wall.

Not exactly from Ebay, but still from something of similar. The Court of Milan is auctioning 78 production and prototype cars coming from the collection of Bertone Museum, the parent company sadly (and badly) recently bankrupted. The base price was 1500000€, today is just slightly below 1600000€, the auction will close on September 28th.

http://eng.sivag.com/goods/bertone_bankruptcy_cent_srl-lt_1_n_xb0__79_pieces_between_cars_prototypes_and_models_designed_by_bertone/in- dex.html

Unfortunately pictures are just terrible as much as such cars are so beautiful, but fortunately these cars are here to stay in Italy because these can't be exported outside the country, so at least there isn't the risk that these cars will be shipped to a private collection in Frankfurt am Main/London/Los Angeles.

I found something for Lateef, a 1986 VW Quantum GL5 Wagon:

These almost never pop-up on e-Bay here.

Takes me back to my teenage years. My dad had two Passats in the 1980s, a silver 1983 sedan and a black 1987 sedan. They were great cars! First car I ever drove to 100mph.

It has one of the funny US-made wannabe-German-plates

With such a 32B-Passat
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_539947-Volkswagen-Passat-Typ-32B-1981.html
I even drove "VDO" :banzai:
As on this pic visible: http://passaratti.fusseltuning.de/5ender/2005_05_15/153-5380_IMG.jpg
Same speedo for the basic version, up to 200 km/h and without rev.counter.

It was my dad's car, a 1981 LS with the 1.6 liter-75 hp-engine, the manual 4-speed-gearbox, 165-tires and without catalytic converter.
The older it was, the faster it goes. The first time I was really shocked, when I drove full throttle down an Autobahn-hill and noticed the speedo-needle on the 190 km/h-bar
The offical max.speed is 164 km/h.
Of course I tried to get more every time I drove that car - and I was successful. Of course it was no real 220 km/h, but close to 200 km/h it was anyways.

With over 200.000 km on the clock, the Passat started to burn oil. I liked that, because there was a perfect trick to get rid of tailgaters (a serious problem on every German Autobahn:
Driving full throttle, at best downwards a hill, let the Bimmer or Benz coming closer, lifting up the gas pedal jerkingly, let the car roll for 1-2 seconds - and then make also jerkingly a kickdown: I couldn't see the car behind me any more, so thick was the blue cloud whiffing out of the exhaust :ddr555:

Years later I had an own 32B-Passat, a 1987 Variant GT as
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/38/VW_Passat_rear_20080304.jpg
(1.8 liter, 90 hp, manual 5-speed-gearbox, catalytic converter and 195-tires). There VDO-driving was not possible any more, even after we had emptied the catalysator.

One for DSL (and definitely not Ingo, sorry!):

Not eBay, but Bring-a-Trailer is auctioning a Sunbeam Alpine GT in red:

https://13252-presscdn-0-94-pagely.netdna-ssl.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/1516923896421ca27d6b49cSAlpine_1.jpg

"This 1970 Sunbeam Alpine GT received a major cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment prior to the seller’s purchase out of Oregon four years ago. Power comes from a 1725cc inline-four equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors and paired to a three-speed automatic transmission. Within the past 2,000 miles the seller has performed a tune-up, replaced the starter, installed a set of new points, and repaired sections the floor. This Sunbeam is now being offered with four years of records and a clear Washington State title in the seller’s name."

Thanks - nice, but slush box and US emissions bits mean probably no faster than a milk float. We had a gold one for a few months in 1976 (OHP 800P, in Copper Beech) - my dad liked driving it, the pillarless format was fun, and it was roomier than expected for a family of 4, but it always looked a bit clumsy - used too many stock components - Hunter doors, estate rear lights etc to really look convincing.
