Said to be released in late 2014, the Temisto W3 Tripper (fr):

Driver and first passenger sitting like on a bike, the two other passengers on each side.
All the disadvantages of a car without any advantage of a bike?

(Sorry, I didn't find any link in English about that "thing")

More realistic, with the 2014 Geneva motor Show come 4 new French cars (and a Japanese/French one) that will sooner or later appear in European movies and tv series (the links lead to a gallery of each car):

- the new rear engine / rear wheel-drive SmartTwingo:

(Don't mistake it for a Fiat 500  ; Factory code to be found)

- the small SUV Citroën C-Cactus:

- The "Triplets of Belleville", Citroën C1, Peugeot 108 and Toyota Aygo:

I like that new Twingo, with the rear somewhat inspired from the R5 Turbo.
The prototype "Twing'run" had more squarish headlights, it was better.

It's a pity that so strange (like for today realities) and different car can't have own "new life" and will be called "Twingo" still, but of course I'm able to understand the "marketing" reasons).
Anyway I prefer the Cactus more, its rear end reminds me 205 somehow and I also like the new side protectors.

I like that new Twingo, with the rear somewhat inspired from the R5 Turbo.

Renault's designers suffer from a seriously split personality, about it:
- on Renault's website (fr), you can read "Twin'Run is a sporty concept-car, which pay tribute to the mythical R5 Turbo and Clio V6..."
- but in a recent interview in L'Automobile magazine, Laurens van den Acker, the chief designer, says that "Renault is only focused on the future, and there is absolutely no retro-design in our 'youngest child'"

They were too much "Super 5"-like for Mr van den Acker?

Not such a strange car, as it is only a (future new) Smart with a different body and seats for 4 passengers. Renault engineers just took the technology from their partners for economies of scale.
And as the same time went "back to the future" with this kind of cross over between a Renault 5 look and a 4Cv lay-out. They just didn't dare the "suicide doors" :ddr555:

Anyway I prefer the Cactus more, its rear end reminds me 205 somehow and I also like the new side protectors.

I wonder how C-Cactus owners will react when kids (and curious adults like me) will play with these side bumpers to see how and how fast they return to their original shape after a soft bump... :boidleau:

I forgot to mention the new Peugeot 308 SW (fr). As there is ads arriving in the street panels, we might assume it will be soon in the street, and thus in some movies, tv series and documentaries...

Isn't it already in the streets? I already saw some, maybe test models then
28/04/2014 @ 22:32:26: eLMeR: Soon in movies (or not)
"Les premières livraisons sont prévues pour le printemps" / "will go on sale across Europe in the Spring"
You certainly saw the first ones to be sold, indeed.

Pity the rear and side styling looks so obviously Mercedes, but at least the front looks as if Peugeot are rediscovering some styling elegance after so long in the wilderness.

This car, my brother-in-law has sold last weekend, will appear in a movie soon (filmed in Belgium):

Unfortunately it will be blown up, as the byuer has said :ohwell: Unfortunately, because it's a real rarity - only two of these were used in Germany as police-patrol-cars.
29/04/2014 @ 18:15:16: antp: Soon in movies (or not)
:ohwell: that's sad
(btw if they want to include a Peugeot 208 as background vehicle in a scene of their movie filmed in Belgium, I am interested :D)

Belgian remake of Alarm für Cobra 11?

No, three young guys, who exclusively produce Youtube-clips. But there may be a chance, that the police-BMW may survive, because as it seems, they noticed, how rare this car is. And it's "totally cool" as they said.
And they will get annother car from my brother-in-law, this C-Klasse from the Feuerwehr Düsseldorf, he picked up this morning.

Another example of a police/firefighters/ambulance car with a 220V connection?
02/05/2014 @ 13:15:33: ingo: Soon in movies (or not)
Yes. AFAIK do all German fire vehicles and police cars have them. Those of civil protection authorities as http://www.thw.de/DE/Startseite/startseite_node.html of course, too.

Tron in real life, or 70s revival?

(Lotus C-01 - Click for pictures and specs)

2-cylinder 4-stroke engine, 1,195 cm3, 200 HP, 396 lbs / 180 kg. The new Lotus bike cannot easily be mistaken for a moped

In fact, with a € 100,000 / $ 137,450 price (crisis? What crisis?), they might(1) be so few in the street that we may(1) see them more in movies and documentaries...
_____________
(1): Once again, I'm not sure of the "might/may/should" use. Help yourself, choose the good one, or the one you prefer

Maybe soon in a Japanese or a French TV-series/movie: the Toyota I-Road?

http://www.caradvice.com.au/thumb/480/240/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Toyota-i-Road-13.jpg

With 10 vehicles in Tokyo and some others in Grenoble (France) (70 vehicles are said to be available in that town, but that number includes Toyota Coms too, without precision), we should see at least one in action somewhere...

It might sound just like a project, but the first (cars/bikes/things???) apparently started to run in Grenoble (fr).

Even if the majority of you dont understand german, the pictures are speaking for themself. An old Renault Agora bus was blown up for an ARD TV Movie.

http://www.berliner-zeitung.de/berlin/dreharbeiten-am-gendarmenmarkt-ausgebombter-bvg-bus-in-mitte,10809148,29832698.html

This is Bus #8421. Its not owned by BVG but by Dr. Hermann Touristik. 8421 was the last 3-door Renault in Berlin, so it was a Rarity...

As I'm unable to do contributions, I would be very pleased, if someone could upload this music-clip at the database
