Ive seen similar Backbone tube chassis on some Lotus models (Elan, Esprite, Europa) and the DeLorean DMC-12 but they all have there differences compared to this one.

Looks like rear wheel drive with front-mounted engine.

All I know is that this car was used as a testbed by Volvo in the early 80s to test a new gearbox and engine which would later be used in the Volvo 850.

Though these wheels are not original due to 5-lug wheels :tongue:

I agree with both of you:
1973-75 curved windshield with the blinkers on top of the fender (in the bumper for 1974-75 models), so a 1973-74 model. Unless the position of the blinkers has been modified, of course.
And MB W114 / W116 / etc. alloy wheel rims indeed.
