The Camper is JDM, a Honda Acty which was never offered here (we only got that model up to the eighties). The Camper body is interesting in that it is a British Romahome one and I suspect that it is somewhat older than the van.
I thought Romahome worked only with Citroën vehicles (I discovered the make through C15 based Hylo models). But in fact they also did some campers with Japanese microvans (mostly Honda?) and even with Jiffy basis!
(Jiffy based Romahome)
Not a Romahome product, but just to remember the way it's done in some other countries

I saw a Jiffy Romahome at the Kit Car show back in May funnily enough:

There are some in London too: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/news/10636281/Britains-largest-electric-taxi-deal-collapses.html
Maybe I will test one next week Tomorrow Noon we will start for some days to London
Now some pics from the http://www.historicar.net/ I'd been today. Not really large, but not far away from my home - and the place I meet Animatronixx every year. He promised to come back after a long Internet-free time.
I'm a bit pissed that the pic-upload will take a lot of time Somehow my camera switched from "automatic" to "live", which means, that all pics are annoying 5 to 6 MB chunks
Still in official use:
45.000 €:
already sold:
49.000 €:
"Bullitt Tribute Edition" (64.900 €):
65.000 €:
35.000 €:
14.000 €:
Much rarer and 30 years older, but for only the half price:
Civil version, formerly used by the civil protection/disaster management:
A wreck -in fact it is one- for 27.500 €
But this clunker is much worse (but "only" 7.450 €). In clumsy German (offered by a Dutchman): "Very nice project. Spanish car. Frame and body very nice!"
Also for sale, offered by http://www.kit-car-handel.de/
And available there, too:
A terrible and embarassing thing, but a little bit popular back then - and nowadays accepted (rather partly than widely) as a classic car:
Annother, more sporty one. In the next line a third one parked.
A real KAMEI-Golf:
Same area, same event, but it was working regularily there. A brand, new for me:
A real CSL, as it seems. About those I'm similiar suspicious as with the masses of Cobras and 356 Speedsters: generally I categorize them as fakes.
Finally a pic with IMCDb-content: far left, the gentleman with the black-framed glasses is Animatronixx:

Nice batmobile! Some of the prices of the cars you`ve shown here are ridiculous, some are even obscene, espacially as far as the VWs are regarded. Sadly, I can`t identify the red coupe with the "Viersen"-plates and the mustard-yellow race-car (is it some Lola?). Could you please let me know?

Now the impressions from our London-trip last week.
Antoine and chicomarx will like it:
What was the first remarkable vehicle-sight? Yes, something dsl-containing:
As the following motifs it's placed at South Bank.
The display said "Out of Service"
Without display, but out of service, too:
Spotted in Mayfair:
Really smart idea to avoid the hardcore-annoying parking-problems of Inner London: just scrounge a charge-free parking-space in Lizzy's forecourt:
A few of them are in usage:
Parked just right of the faked main location of http://www.imcdb.org/movie_1475582-Sherlock.html
We can really recommend Speedy's! Good food for fair prices, good service.
US-import, so surely repro-plates:
Sorry for the blurry pics, but my wife's camera, I took, because mine old camera is broken, is not really good with snapshots, although it was two times more expensive
Here, too:
In front of the "India House"
No idea, who Frank is, but he works in the Tower:
Just beneath the Tower Bridge the impression "Everywhere dsl!" overwhelmed me:
In the Museum of Natural History we had a rest on this bench:
It was neccessary after the tremendous shock of seeing this in the display "How to organize an expedition"
A special edition?
Annother blurry snapshot. When I looked into the town map at Victoria Street, my wife shouted "Hey, an old car!". Unfortunately it escaped before I could note the plate. Maybe something with "SWR", but this is just a wild guess.
At first my thought was: "What? Does the Royal Mail drive vehicles from the Colonies?", because I thought, they are Tatas, but then I noticed the small "LDV"-badge on the back. A brand, new for me.
Here immediately and http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=120586 (the archived comments) and http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=1020559 came in my mind:
One evening we enjoyed the legendary classic:
Of course we will keep quiet, who was the murderer, as the other hundreds of thousands guests in the 61 years before.
The Lateef-edition for 130 Pounds at the Stansted-Airport:
@dsl: the "Einar"-version costs 39,99 Pounds and the poverty-spec basic 37,99 Pounds. Good price? I bought my "Acqua di Gio" for only 57,60 Pounds, which is incredible cheap for the 200ml-bottle.

The Maxus is an interesting story, originally co-developed with Daewoo to be built in a plant in Poland, LDV ended up acquiring the whole project and it was built at their factory. I think there was also a Russian version made by GAZ (who owned LDV at one point). When LDV went bust it was bought by the Chinese and is still built there. None of that alters the fact they were absolutely terrible vans.
The original late-80s design for the Sherpa/Convoy replacement became the Renault Master and the engineering underneath was used for the GAZ GAZelle: http://www.aronline.co.uk/blogs/concepts/concepts-and-prototypes/concepts-and-prototypes-ldv-201/
I really like the little 'Frank' truck and it's nice to see a tidy 200 Convertible.

@ingo - pleased you found so many reminders of your Scottish chum. And of Marmite - the food of the gods. The Mini is a Mini Rose edition - http://www.suzukimusic.co.uk/rosalind/mini/html/rose.html - but slightly the worse for wear. And the blue-and-grey oldie is a pretty rare1955+ Sunbeam Mk.III.

These three rarities I've spotted today all on one parking in a round distance of less than 50 meters:
The tachometer says "647.000". If it's in taxi-use since the beginning, you can put a "1" before, because, as a fellow, who drive taxi, told me, as taxi has to run minimum 80.000 km a year, that you can earn money.
The rarest of the three sights, because -typical Fords in Germany- nearly completely extinct:
On the way out:
One sight, I forgot to put in the London-posting:
Also on the way to extinct. It's colleagues of this litter service are all Mercedes.

Nice Corrado! One of my cousins still has one but hers is the G60 version.
As far as Mercedes-taxis are concerned: This September on a family celebration an uncle of mine happened to tell me that he had just taken a ride by taxi from the train station to the restaurant where the celebration took place. The taxi in question was a current E-Class, just 4 months old but already 170,000 kilometers on the clock as it is apparently operated whithout any periods of rest, 24 hours a day, only stopping for services.

Some vehicles seen during the last few weeks in Ariège:
• First of all, this Mustang GT/CS:
I don't think there is a lot of them here, so I'm almost sure it's the same (and I find it really weird) that overtook us almost each time we were driving on the highway to Ariège
(The shot was made through the Monster's windshield, hence the glittering look of the picture)
• Some "collector cars":
- It was my first car, almost 25 years ago (a 1970 1.9L "Injection"), so I like seeing one still (more or less) in good condition:
1977-79 Peugeot 504 GLD
- I first noticed the square exhaust pipe, so the name written on the doors was just an extra confirmation:
1985-87 Citroën BX Sport. Not a tremendous car, but with only 7,500 units made during the 2 years of production, it's amazing to find one in Ariège.
- This one always makes me laugh, due to the really bad ad that was made for it when it was unveiled. For French (and francophone?) people: remember "2 litres Turbo, ABS Bienzür"
1988-89 Renault 21 Turbo (phase 1). 13,800 units made from 1988 to 1994.
• Diverse oddities:
- A 1981-90 DIY Peugeot J5 campervan:
I'm sure the owner of this campervan knows lot of shameful things about the technical control guys life. I don't see any other way for this J5 to be allowed to travel on open road
- A friend of mine, T2a owner and all Type 2 enthusiast, taught me a word, this day: Doka, shortcut for Doppelkabine (i.e. double cab).
1990-95 Volkswagen Transporter T4 "Doka" Pickup
- I'll never understand the need for this kind of additional rear spoiler. Or maybe it just helps the owner to have a ready table when going camping?
2003-08 Mazda RX-8
• Some 4x4 vehicles useful during winter time in Pyrenées mountains:
- A 1989-94 Renault Trafic pickup 4x4 (phase 2):
...with a big dog inside, considering the huge box in the cab.
- A 2006-14 MB Sprinter 4x4:
The last step just before using a Unimog truck?
- A 1999 Chevrolet Blazer:
Thinking about it, it may be just a 4x2, so not really useful. And most certainly not a bargain, with its 4.3 L V6 gasoline engine...

A red 1970 Dodge Coronet drove right by the house I'm living in. I was able to see from an elevated position because my porch is about 20 steps from the ground.
Also a 1920s car or earlier (I don't know what it was) drove by within the same week. I stepped outside just in time to see both vehicles. A car from the 1920s or earlier is pretty uncommon not that I have to say that.

They are filming a movie just a 2 minute footwalk away from my home. The friendly security guys told me I am not allowed to photograph the cars but it were brand-new cars. 4 Audi Q7 with Ingolstädter number plate (Audi is from Ingolstadt), 1 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the newest generation and an older Chrysler Pacifica parked aside.
I presume they prepared for a car chase (stunt drivers already sat in the cars when i was there). However they can only close the roads for some minutes because it is one of the busiest streets in Berlin. I will check back some hours later if they do the filming. But i guess they will do it after midnight.
On request the security guy told me the film is top secret and they are not allowed to tell the name. However because of the amount of security guys and crew cars (they had almost 20 RVs parked on the market place next to my homes door) i guess its for a Hollywood movie. All cars had german number plates.
The stunt cars are standing on the pedestrian walk in front of the building. I didnt use flash for security reasons.

What's that for a building? Looks like a ministery. The architecure is from the Nazi-times.
