Oh, great! But I hope that the new site will remain the exact same as now (in the grafic way I mean)...

For the moment, yes, it is just a move to another server.
But the layout of the site will evolve some day

When I tested after Sandie's comment it was working, same now Well if it fixes itself without me having to restart MySql, it is already better

The new server is up and running, MySql seems ready, I'll do a test by migrating the whole http://lego.imcdb.org (which is small ) and then it will be IMCDb's database, so probably before next weekend

Not working at all right now.
Edit: now it's back up. It seems to be intermittent which is especially frustrating if you're like me and are trying to add images with an especially slow connection as it is.

I already moved the "lego in movies" site to the new server, as a test; does it work for everybody? http://lego.imcdb.org
(just to be sure )

But it was still working hard late last night, when you were already asleep, maybe it deserved to have a lie-in

I've put a copy of the database as test on the new server, it seems to work fine... I'll do the definitive move of the database tomorrow if I have time (I prefer do that earlier in the day: if I do that now and that in 1h a problem occurs, I'll see it only tomorrow morning)

Site is now "locked" (on purpose ), I'll save the database and upload it to the new server.

Note that you managed to post a comment AFTER I locked the site (it may be lost, we'll see)
I guess that you actually had a page already open while I did that change, but took few minutes to post the comment; and if I remember well the only thing done by "locking" the site is removal of edit/add/post links (which you still had on your "already loaded" page).

I confirm, Vilero, your last comment will be lost (one less comment on the new server than on the old one)
Here is it so you'll be able to repost it on http://www.imcdb.org/movie.php?id=227236 after I switch the database server :

La primera acepción de payo (problamente del catalán 'payés') significa aldeano, natural de una aldea (pueblo muy pequeño); también campesino ignorante, pero la acepción generalizada (en españa) es que payo es todo aquél que, entre los gitanos, no es de su raza. Es la calificación que los gitanos hacen del resto. Payo=No Gitano. Obviamente en centro y suramerica, puede tener otras acepciones y significados.

It works when I am alone connecting to the server, but not when I set that one by default (with all the visitors connected too, then)... I do not know why I am searching
