I noticed that we have a mix of German and UK Ford Escort.
For the mk1, it is easy, it is UK.
Last ones should be considered as German I guess, like other recent European Ford.
And what about the models between these?

I personally list all cars in UK tv shows/films as UK made! ..any seen in mainland Europe(ie:-france,germany,spain etc..) as German.
I do the same for Transit vans and a couple of other fords.

I do not think that recent Ford models any link with UK, as now there is just Ford Europe, which is based in Germany. They only had some production plant (and now they don't have them anymore).
And Escort mk1 didn't had any link with Germany, so for these it should be always UK.
I do not know for all old Ford models, but I do not think that there are so many shared between UK & Germany. We should clean that.

Just the platform, but the cat itself has nothing japanese. It is not just a rebadged Mazda.

But where were they built. Australian Ford Laser's were built here from 1981 to October 94, then imported from Japan. Were overseas variants built in Japan as well or in US/Europe

Isn't the Ford Laser a rebadged Mazda?
That's not the same as the European Ford Escort I think

Maybe we could list them as Wikipedia DE does:
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Motor_Company#Zeitleiste_der_europ.C3.A4ischen_- Ford-Modelle
i.e. list as "European" rather than German/English all the Ford models launched after 1967? (those in Grey on their chart - except that for the Maverick they are wrong since it is just a Japanese then an American car rebadged).
Or we could define rules for each model, as I hoped to do with this topic... A model should not carry a different flag depending on where the movie was made I think.

Hmm Antoine you have said it all in oen sentence
-"list as "European" rather than German/English"-
That would be much better and esy to do, we would only have to put american in case of american fords or european in case of our Fords, i think its a good idea, we should do it.
and about Stronghold puting all his cars for UK Made has no sense, they dont have nothing specific for the UK market to be made "only" and "specially" for them so id remove them, the made for UK not the cars

It is not "made for UK", it is "origin from UK" that he sets.
Same for Sierra and few others.
I should probably change them to EU.
Note Escort mk1 is still UK, cf Wikipedia:
"The Ford Escort was a British automobile launched at the end of 1967 as a replacement for the Anglia."
"Unlike the first Escort (which was solely a British effort), the second generation was developed along with Ford of Germany." (i.e. both UK & DE, start of problems for us )
