Question for Neptune

Neptune, do you happen to know when Ford first entered into contract with Eddie Bauer to release special limited edition vehicles? I've always wondered this.
Also, I thought you might want to check this out:

I ran accross it earlier today.
Thanks!
EDIT: When you get to the link, go to where it says "Ford Vehicles"

In 1983 Ford and Eddie Bauer Clothing® started working together on making a new trim level package for Ford’s Truck and SUV lines. This new trim level was to be upscale, luxurious, and enhance as well as promote, the Eddie Bauer Clothing® Company’s name. The company uses the trim level to further advertise it’s mark. The very first Ford vehicle to wear the "Eddie Bauer" name, appeared in 1984 with much success. Of course now, you are aware that Ford’s Eddie Bauer SUV’s are claimed to be the most attractive vehicles on the road. Out of all the trim levels Ford offers, the Eddie Bauer are the most popular due to their color scheme. Just as added info: the Gold color – or Tan color as some people incorrectly call it, is (Pueblo Gold Clear Coat) The vehicles always have "Eddie Bauer" exquisitely stitched into the front Leather seat Head-rests. Also, special Eddie Bauer gold pen-stripes (exterior) are offered that complement the (Pueblo Gold Clear Coat) exterior trim, and feature a pause in the pen-stripe to allow for the Eddie Bauer name to be spelled out before continuing.
The Ford Expedition (which wears the "Eddie Bauer" name) became the first (Full-Size) SUV to receive a Double Five Star fontal-crash test rating *The highest rating the Government can issue a vehicle*

Actually Ford_Guy, I don’t know if you know it or not (and I forgot to mention it yesterday) but Eddie Bauer’s main website (which is the one you posted the link for) has a complete company timeline. It is listed under "Company Info", after you click on that, it should take you to the Info page. There you will find a list on the top left hand side. Click on "Timeline" and then look for the year 1983. You were close to answering your question without my help.

Thanks Neptune, I really appreciate the info!
One last thing, did Ford begin using the "Bold" Style chrome naming emblem
in 2005, or 2006? Also, is it only used on the F-Series and E-Series, or on what other vehicles? Thanks!

Now I have a question for you Neptune. I remember you saying this a while back, but did you once own a BMW? Just out of curiousity.

Yes I did, I had a 1997 BMW 328i in Alpine white. Unlike my Expedition Limited which I bought in Tennessee, I purchased the Bimmer here, at the local BMW Wilmington dealership.

Ugly isn’t it? Good thing they are only going to make 650 of them. I would rather have the Limited Edition – more classy.

Ugly indeed, two tone Eddie Bauers are a lot nicer, i see that for he new generation Expedition they've put the gear stick between the seats, i prefere it behind the wheel, i just love gear stick behind the wheel on any car, dont ask me why
