Hello,
There is a major Lincoln movie that seems to be missing from the roster here. It's called "The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone", 1961. It's a Tennesee Williams story and stars Vivien Leigh in one of her last performances, along with Warren Beatty and a very young Jill St. John. The true and literal co-star of the film is an incredible silver 61 Continental Convt. with red/white interior and white top, a very rare and stunning combo.
In the movie, Mrs. Stone (Leigh) is driven all over Rome and the surrounding countryside by a uniformed chauffer in this Lincoln. The car is shown in numerous scenes with Leigh(all her costumes are color coordinated with it) and is often shot from overhead just driving through the countryside to establish locale. There are times when it seems the car has been included in a scene for it's own sake. This is a must for any and all early 60's Lincoln buffs. Has anyone else seen this film and how do you get pictures? Would love to see them here. I will try to find something on the net.
Best to all,
SEMinL
