The "/" was maybe added because there is a big one on the grille :grin:

:smile:

On Wikipedia they mention "Volvo WhiteGMC" as make, but we could indeed use "WhiteGMC" rather than "White/GMC".

Volvo WhiteGMC was never used as make, I'm afraid that the WP page is another one written without checking...
But as the brochures show indeed Volvo and WhiteGMC together (but usually with WhiteGMC at first, see the pictures in the previous post), this could explain the mistake...

The accurate company name was Volvo GM Heavy Truck Corparation, and the 2 makes sold by it were Volvo and WhiteGMC:

Scusez-moi de vous demander pardon, Master of the Jedi masters, mais...
White/GMC → WhiteGMC: just forgotten, or eventually irrelevant? :smile:

So it was just a car to change from 79 to 75? Not so much a "huge mistake" :wink:

Thanks, but it's also a "WB" Civic Wagon.

Know as Aeromax in the IMCDb, the concerned trucks were promoted by Ford with the M in upper case:

Shouldn't we use that way of writing too?

This one needs a hyphen between the "F" and the "1."

If I haven't mentioned it before, besides on the page itself;

That Toyota pickup was made between 1979 and 1982.

Not an F-150, because of the larger wheels, and they didn't have F-150's back then:

Only 2 cars were concerned, so I corrected them: the Porsche 718 (2016+ 718 Boxster / 2017+ 718 Cayman), even if mainly facelifted versions of the former 981 models, have the 982 factory code.
Lot of websites and several Wikipedia pages already identify them that way (en, de, it, sv...) and, above all, Porsche's corporate site does it so too (de, fr).

Does everyone here see this recently added alleged Mack B-Series truck?

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1170025

Not only is it not a B-Series, it's not even a Mack.

About the North American 1985-(97?) Ford CF-Series:
• Except for 2 of them(1), all are identified as CF-7000 in the IMCDb. But the single rear axle models were apparently promoted and sold as Cargo CF-Something in North America (CF-6000, CF-7000 and CF-8000), while the 1988+ tandem version were of course called Cargo CFT-Something(2).
Shouldn't we rename all CF-7000 as Cargo CF-Series as there are apparently no visible clues to tell the difference between the 3 models? Except for the shortest 117"/2.97 m wheelbase, used only on CF-8000 tractors, all wheelbases were available for the 3 models (see 2nd link)...
1988 US brochure cover

1989 Canadian brochure cover

• The 2nd change that should perhaps be done is about the 1st model year of these trucks (when given), usually said to be 1986. Ford says 1985:
https://imgur.com/OKNykOp.jpg
(1988 brochure excerpt. Sorry, I didn't find a more sharp picture)

• And it appears that the production eventually moved to the USA (for the 1992+ models?)(3), so the standard "Built in Brazil - Made for USA/Canada" should probably be questioned too...
_____

1: one CF-6000 identified thanks to Carfax and a CF-8000 which is in fact a CFT-Something...

2: for now all documents I found (the 1988 brochure, the -already linked- 1988 Specification Book, the 1989 Ford
Cargo brochure, the 1990 Spec Book, plus the 1992 and 1995 spec sheets) mention Cargo CFT-8000 models only, without lighter versions. Is this enough to say that a tandem CF-Series can't be anything else than a CFT-8000?

3: "America's Domestically Produced Low Tilt - Ford Cargo, build at the Kentucky Truck plant..." is written on both the 1992 and 1995 spec sheets.

Probably, but I wasn't sure if you wanted me to change directly or if you wanted additional comments (for the latter one, I can't help much, except saying your arguments seem valid)
So I rename all CF-7000 to CF-Series?

I hoped some US contributors could say more if needed, indeed, but as there's no reaction, let's assume that these info are correct :smile:
The changes to be made:
  1. CF-7000 to Cargo CF-Series;
  2. Origin UK is accurate, but Built in Brazil should be deleted;
  3. 1986 changed into 1985 for the 15 concerned trucks. Or should I handle them manually?

Remaining questions:
  1. Is Made for USA still relevant, as it's impossible to say which trucks were made in Brazil and which were made in USA (unless Built in USA - Made for USA is a possible combination)?
  2. If Made for USA is deleted, I don't think the Made for Canada, when present, should be kept either: is there so many differences between the US specs and the Canadian ones?
  3. I don't know what to do with this "1990" truck nor with this "1997" one, as the first "identification" was made thanks to an unrelated truck on a classified ad site, and the second by someone known to often copy-paste info from unrelated vehicles... 1986 by default?
