Today, I went on a sort of test drive "rampage"
at the local used car lots. I don't plan on selling the Mercury, but a new addition to the driveway is always nice if the right car comes along, and I was just feeling amibitious today anyway

Me-the Olds-saw a two-door just like it on Saturday.

I like the Caddy the most. The Olds is nice too. The Town Car looks cool but the engine in this one didn't run so good, and the hood was too tall.

Unbeliaveable that what i'd love doing the most in this life is so easy for you to do lovely that Eldorado, it's just great and really nice, not that i don't like the others, but the Caddy is just by the way how do you do this? i mean you just go and say "i want to test drive the car out there" and they give you the keys? or what do you do? because by what it seems it looks like it is very easy for you

You just go and start looking at the car, and the dealer will come out and approach you. Say you are interested in the car, then you look around at it a bit, open the hood, trunk, look at the interior, ask a few questions (previous owners, mileage, probelems, etc... ) and they are more than willing to let you drive it around a bit. It's not hard at all, and it's quite fun to drive a new and different car.

Lucky that you can find older cars like that to test drive (and in such great condition!). Cars of that vintage around here are heavily used and usually smoking.

There seem to be a lot of 1980s and 1970s cars at low prices in Michigan. Here you have to go out of your way to find cars like that.

It's becuase we don't have inspections or emissions requirements to kill them off. Plus, people just tend to keep cars for a long time here.

Great idea for a topic, TG! I recently test drove a 2005 Buick Park Avenue that was fully loaded. The one thing that I did not like was how the veneer on the dash caught the sun's rays much easier than on most cars. This was due to the position of the veneer, being mounted facing upwards, rather than facing the driver.

Oh, yeah. My vote is also for the Oldsmobile. How many miles are on the Lincoln? 4000 dollars seems quite high.

This reminds me that few weeks ago I could drive an Audi A5, that's a very nice car to drive And the TDI engine was surprisingly silent.

I suppose while I’m here I could mention that I test drove a new ’09 Toyota Sequoia (redesigned all-new for ’08) The one I tested was Blue (I think the color name was like Nautical Blue)

It's quite a simple doubt and i guess i kind of have the answer for it, but, on most american cars which have e-brake instead of hand brake (even if it's after all the same, isn't it?) how are you supposed to release it? i mean i know you apply it by "pressing" (oh dear what verb am i meant to use here?) it with your foot but how do you release it is my question
