Oh, so administrators can perform this task, and others can't. OK.

It doesn't work fine by me too, as there is a big space between the vehicle name and the picture (I've got IE6)

Yes I know that it fails in IE 6
I'll try to find a solution for that but IE 6 is kind of very old program  8 years, that's huge in IT.
Since then there was IE 7 & 8, and also lots of other web browsers (Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera...) which all work better.

Does this problem also occur in IE 7 ? Or does IE 7 only have the problem for admin-side page, to define the vehicle position ?

IE 7 causes the following:

http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/9270/zuschneidenv.jpg

-> abscissa works fine, ordinate doesn't obey my will. The space problem - like walter had it - does not occur with IE 7.

Opera 9.63 (which I use most of the time) doesn't give a damn and ignores the whole feature from the admin's point of view, but for viewers it works fine.

In Opera 9.64 the admin part seems to work only for X-value, not Y (which gives "NaN"), I'll have to find why.
In IE 7 the admin part fails for Y, but with a negative value.

But when correctly set (e.g. the Peugeot 205 in 1st page) does it work for viewers in IE 7 ?

You can still enter manually the X,Y position in the box but that's not very convenient of course
I should at least find why it fails in IE7/Opera. Hoping that I could also do it for IE6...

Would it better if those of us who still use Internet Explorer 6 just upgraded to 7 or even 8? Or would not be difficult for you to make it work for 6?

Well there are still lots of visitors with IE 6 so I still hope to make it work (at least for visitors, maybe not for admins, we'll see)

Just tested it for admins and visitors on Mac. Works fine with Safari 4 and Firefox 3.

UPDATE :
fixed in IE 7 & Opera 9.6
if people who had problems with these browsers could check and confirm that it is fixed for them?

So now it should work fine for edit page (click on the pic) for all web browsers (IE 6, 7, 8, Opera, Firefox)

But the display of the frame on the picture still fails on IE 6 due to a space between car title & car picture... I hope to solve that.

Still not operating correctly for me, though, as you've seen , I use it for new pictures I upload.

Good
And indeed I still haven't fixed it for IE 6. I hope to have time to search for a solution this weekend.
But if you applied updates to your windows (yellow icon in bottom right corner) you would get IE 7 or 8 at the same time

Should be fixed in IE 6 now, I hope that it still works in all others (tested: IE 6 & 8, Firefox 3.5, Google Chrome 2, Opera 9.64, Safari 4)
I had to use another system, relying on Javascript instead of CSS :ohwell:

And I also added the frame on the picture preview of the edit-vehicle page: now you see where on the picture the frame will come, it will be much easier than doing try-view-edit-etc.
Only "limitation" currently is that to move the frame you have to click on it to hide it, then reclick on it to make it visible again (I can't correctly catch the click on the frame instead of the picture)
