Sightings demand
Published 20/07/2009 @ 14:20:38, By Neon
In this topic, we can ask us some cars that we desire to see.

Notice: only cars photographed by us, not photos taken on the net

If someone want to see a 70-80's Fiat it's probable that I have photos of it. But also lots of others cars...

Instead, I ask you if someone has never see a Citroen Ami 8 M35 Wankel or a Visa Break.

I would like from you an Innocenti Elba Lorenzo (as either five door or Weekend) if I remember others I'd like to see I'll tell you.

I am not sure it is useful to ask for rare cars, as those would be posted anyway in the other topic :figti:

If someone sees Peugeot 106 Rallye, these are rare and one does not always think that it is the case

I have not photos of it, but I know where find one (Weekend) for sure

You're right there Antoine, but you know what? we could ask for them here and keep posting them on the other topic, so we just use this one for requests and the other one to post the pictures, it would be a good idea, wouldn't it?

Great :boidleau:

What I mean is that it is not useful to ask for a rare car: as it is rare, the one who will see it would take the pic anyway, no?

Hmm, a Citroen M 35 I have seen sometimes on an NSU-meeting (other Wankel-cars are welcome, there, too), and a GS Birotor, too. Oh, and the Pininfarina-prototype with RO 80-technic, too.

I own the very rare Italian book "Style Auto" no.29 (there is a K 70-story included  ). In annother -very good- chapter about the company Heuliez and their prototypes (incl.Simca 1501 Coupé, Simca 1100 Convertible, but mainly about the Murène Porsche), there is a photo of the assembly line of the M 35.

I would be happy to see a Sbarro Stash (sure, because it's K 70-technic  )

CCF, next week I'll go in the street where there's the Elba Weekend... Anyway, if you want I already have a photo of a Fiat Penny... I think that you never heard this name
It's the same base of the Elba Weekend (that is the Duna Weekend) but in van version, without the back doors and with covered side windows. It's very rare also in Italy!

Sorry to respond so late, I've been out during the week end, of course I'd love to see that Penny, never heard of it before

Ah, I thought of one; has anyone ever seen an Eagle Vision coupe? I don't even need a picture of it, just say you believe me! The Encyclopedia of American Cars, Wikipedia, google image search, allpar.com, and even this site, list no such vehicle. There's one I see around town sometimes, but I don't carry a camera with me, so I can't prove it.
I actually can't seem to see that there were any 2 doors based on the Chrysler LH platform, but I haven't looked as thoroughly.

There is no such thing as a Vision coupe, or any LH-platform coupe for that matter. It must have been a custom job. A 2-door wouldn't work well for that platform anyway, the wheelbase is much too long and it would look very out of proportion.

The C pillar looks more like a Sebring.
I'm going to start leaving my camera in my car now. I'm sure it's a Vision!
(I just checked CarDomain, of 64 Visions, none are coupes. One was a Talon and one was made in 1921, but no coupes.)

As I said before there was no factory made Vision coupe, it's either a custom job or something else.

Well, that would be a very strange thing to custom make, that's what makes this so confusing and interesting. The only obvious custom touch is the wheels, which remind me of '80s AMGs.
I'm continuing to keep an eye out, and if I find it parked, I'll be sure to get a shot of the VIN (body style is usually in there, right?).
