[Done] Highlander II: The Quickening (1991)
Published 02/08/2009 @ 02:41:44, By 440 mopar
Watched this movie the other night and noticed there's no imcdb page for it so I took some pics. IF you ever seen the movie you'll know it's always dark so some of the cars can be hard to see, they also seem to use the same dozen or so cars over and over so I did the best I could to not have a bunch of pics of the same car.

I've got an idea on many of the cars, but I'm not sure on most. Have a look:

**** 59 Impala that's used throughout the movie and gets shot to hell and back

I'm convinced the car that you think is a Packard is actually a Standard Vanguard, like this one

http://uk.geocities.com/tradcarclub/Standard.JPG

The weird van thing is something really exotic - it seems to be based off a Tempo Matador - but I'm not sure

Also the last picture but one is a Mack - I believe I can read it on the top of the radiator.

Btw nice pictures Mopar!

Looks like you're right on all counts! I knew the movie was mostly filmed outside of the US, but I figured most of the cars were American. The Standard looks smaller in your pic than it does in the movie, which is why Packard came to mind, but it has to be the same car.

I've never seen anything like the Tempo Matador, really strange looking...but I like it!

Good call and the Mack too, I missed that when I watched the movie earlier.

As for what can be identified here:

There's a light brown 1948-50 Ford F-1 Panel Truck.

Highlander II was filmed in Argentina. Note the large numbers of Ford Falcons - these will be the Argentinian model which became notorious as the favourite car of the secret police.

Most of them are over the max filesize. I was able to upload the first couple with no problems but from the Porsche onwards it's telling me they're too big.
