I had a thought for you all while seeking informations about the Subaru Sambar kei-kar (click on pictures to go to the videos):
Seems to exist a lot of models:
...
(Sorry, I don't read nor speak Japanese, so I don't know if there's a way to search only model cars on this website)

I've just seen a reference that HPi Racing/Mirage has stopped die-cast and resin manufacture from Dec 2013, although continuing its R/C lines. A big loss because their 1:43 models were exquisite and beautifully made (but very very expensive). It might mean some stocks being sold off cheaply on ebay, although no real sign yet ......

For my 15th I managed to get something that for me is VERY special: a Matchbox Sonic X 5-Pack that was only released in North America in 2004/2005. It's still mint and in the box!
These are the 5 vehicles available:
2000 Pontiac Piranha/Sonic
Baja Bug/Tails
00-01 Nissan XTerra/Chris
99-06 Chevrolet Suburban/Knuckles
95-99 Ford Transit/Dr. Eggman
Additionally, as part of a Convoy reboot, a Sonic X Tractor Trailer was also issued.

I bought a very rare model car. This is a promo car made by Brookfield Collectors Guild. Never heard of? They only build promo models for manufacturers.
So those cars are usually meant to sit on a desk at the car dealership. You can only get these models if you are a car dealer.
Of course you can buy them now on ebay. BUT they are so rare, that there were only 2 models on ebay of this specific car. Both were sold by the same guy, i got Number One.
1/25 scale, a very unusual size. First i thought it was a typing error but i compared it with a 1/24 and its really smaller.
It was brand-new when i got it. They only opened the box to make a photo for ebay. Sounds unbelievable, but it was really brand-new. That purple reflection on the wind shield shows that the windows were never touched and the paint looks like fresh from the factory.

I think this picture (fast scan, I hope it's readable enough) fits this topic as well as the forum as a whole: models of cars used in TV-series/movies
This is a part of a regular 2- or 3-page column in the Gazoline magazine. If anyone wants the January issue of it...

My friend Hiroshi from Yokohama sent these two toys to me, for giving them to
http://www.oldtimermuseum-hoeing.de/
The BREKINA is made in Germany, also the explanation-text on the box is German, but it was never available over here. Questionable, why they wrote the whole text in German, although it was exclusively for China. Maybe, because it sounds more "exotic".

i do collect them....well, collection is now more an obsession than a collection.... goes from 1:18 to 1:64 scale and have some planes too...i stopped for a few years then started again about 4 years ago ( and getting sick just thinking about the ones i missed ). favorite ones for the 1:64 are old cars ( including muscle cars ) and new ones but only the ones that could be find on a road ( no Hotwheels fancy designs, even if i have some from my 1st collecting run ). had to stop the 1:18 because of lack of space...

Normally I don't collect model cars, not even K 70-toys. I kept my SIKU/Majorette/Matchbox-toys from my childhood and the ca.300 WIKING-cars, I collected in the 80ies, but when I had the chance to get this 1:4-model, I took it.
It's from the Volkswagen test- and prototype-division (see the tires), but still with some clear NSU-details (hubcaps, front bumper).
We think, that for some years it was used for testing colour-impressions. The paint is the 1974 "moosmetallic" and underneath there is a sticker "malagarot"

Very nice and presumably totally unique, so I can imagine that it was irresistable. But what do you do with it? Where could you put it? Is it heavy?

"Totally unique" ... well. At our K 70-meeting we stayed last Saturday here:
http://www.oldtimermuseum-hoeing.de/
and my friends asked me "Hey, is that your 1:4-model in the glassboard???"
"What K 70?"
"In the glassboard under the back stairs"
There you can find:
I really haven't noticed that! Not at the meeting, because I was too busy to look around in the museum and neither at our short visit some weeks ago for the organisation.

In the May issue of the French magazine Gazoline, a 3-page article about the new models shown at the 2015 Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg. Among them, 2 models related to movies:
Plus, in the normal section dedicated to model cars (1-page only, this month), these 2 models that can also be related to the thread French cars in the USA / Voitures françaises aux États-Unis (as already done by dsl )

if the Aston Martin is too expensive, Hot Wheels are having their own version, sadly not accurate as the one posted by eLMeR but for a little 1$, we can't ask for very much....
Missed my shot for the DB5 ( bought a metallic red one without knowing the existence of this one ) but got the Lotus

No problem, I'll put them in the letter for you. But unfortunately I haven't found all the stuff here, you are looking for. I couldn't be on all markets, I have planned this year and at my favourite event two week ago http://oldtimermarkt-bockhorn.com/ I had no time to check all dealers for all stuff, all people have asked before.

For Antoine - some Norevs I found last week at a Peugeot dealer in Englandshire.
The 308 GT set is an edition of 500 and only available through showrooms (official price £80, or I've seen one on ebay at 90 euros), although each model available separately as a Norev retail issue. But the best bit was I got the lot for £35 after a bit of haggling because the dealer wanted to get rid of them - I was apparently the first person to ask them about models for over a year.
I got a few Mercedes from a Merc dealer recently, again at bargain prices for same reason and in very nice presentation boxes which are not normal retail, so moral of the story is befriend your local showrooms, especially the parts manager, and be prepared to haggle hard.

My first post on this site, so I apologize for responding to an "old" subject.
I mainly collect cars from movies & TV. A few normal cars are ones I like, and wish I could own.

Bought that one last tuesday ( with a Lamborghini LM002 and a few others ). Usually not my style as it comes for vehicles but the fact that its indentified as a F-150 while its a F-350 ( that's what is written under the truck and its not a reclosed package as there was a bunch of them all with F-150 identification ). I already missed a 1970 Mustang package with a 2005 inside it so i wasn't going to let go that kind of funny mistake twice

@ Gamer concerning http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_848494-Simca-1308-C6-1976.html
Is your worn-down Simca is in a better shape than mine ?
That poor thing came in my life in a time where preserving them was not exactly my first priority....
If you have a different version than me ( and probably ingo's ), do yours still have all that junk in the trunk ?
On another subject, this one is a little bit a " redemption" car as i had one as a kid and totally destroyed it ( all i have left is the front doors, they are opening ) and by an incredible luck, came across another one ( don't remember when, maybe 10-12 years ago ) which will have a peacefull existence..
