I like the Saab. It's good that Ixo and Altaya are filling some holes in the 1970s rally cars category. I hope they'll think about the Nissan Violet and its derivatives soon.

The Saab looks good but the one that grabs my attention is the tow truck

They made a truck collection with no movie reference, but by chance many look like trucks used in movies & TV series

I unironically want that Fresh Cherries Tempo. I'm a sucker for not usually cast toy cars

Bought a ultra-cheap no-name Nissan Skyline with a missing rear axle from the flea market just for that
(somewhere between Prince and C10/C110, it's so detail-less I can't even tell which generation it is exactly)

I don't know, I haven't seen it in ages, I don't even know if I still have it or even who made it.

I tried looking it up online but only got tuners.

Some models from the last few months - all 1:43, mostly ebay scavenging plus a couple from my first visit to a model shop in nearly 2 years. Very few model shops still around in Scotland after several closures in last few years, and we haven't had a swapmeet since the covid buglies arrived.
- two neat Fords - IXO Escort CLX estate; Vanguards Lotus Cortina "Colin Chapman's car" - we have a film sighting
https://i.imgur.com/fELxpNt.jpg
- Minis from Spark and Maxichamps - both are better in the metal than onscreen
https://i.imgur.com/j7RUr1m.jpg
- Land Rover Tickfords by Oxford Diecast - a surprise choice for a new casting as very limited possibilities, but charming depictions of this stumpy shape. One on left is actually 2-tone but barely visible
https://i.imgur.com/zLBWVSr.jpg
- racy Minichamps Opel - not normally my thing, but it was a bargain with lots of detail
https://i.imgur.com/w4VumRL.jpg
- 1990s Spridgets from DetailCars (Midget club racer) and Exem (Frogeye roadster with Alexander Tuning sports kit and PBL 75 plate)
https://i.imgur.com/pf7yreG.jpg
Have also been collecting Oxford's interesting range of Crayford Cortina Mk2 convertibles, but no picture this time.

I wouldn't kill for that Commodore, but close. I'm rather fond of models from the Spa 24 Hours, and this Opel would make a perfect shelf companion for my Mazda Familia Rotary Coupe, also from the 1970 race.

I wonder what will happen to Oxford Diecast's 1/43 range, now that Hornby Hobbies has bought the company.

Minichamps did all 4 Steinmetz Opels from Spa 1970 (numbers 8,9,10 & 11) in both 1:43 and 1:18) so there should be a few around.

I hope Oxford's 1:43 range continue under Hornby - their choice of models over last few years has been far more interesting and quirky than Vanguards fairly predictable range of safe and unadventurous choices. It's as if Corgi only release models approved by focus group research, while Oxford choose things they're enthusiastic about.

bought at least a dozen of Hot Wheels ( some that i already had but in different colors, voluntarily or not.. )

among them
2021 Ford Bronco ( 3-doors one was feeling lonely.. )

the opposite ( now its the 4 doors that felt lonely for a very long time... )

wrongly identified 1999 Ford SVT Lightning ( reverse light on top was for 2000, not 1999 )

( hopefully, with the earlier Syclone, maybe we'll see the Typhoon , Chevy 454SS and other similar pick-up/SUVs... )

a mispackaged ( good word ? ) 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor ( wish the real one was sold here )

a red Porsche Taycan

even if not a car, the X-Jet

speaking of wrong IDs and planes, dollar store here has a bunch of fun ones . Whoever knows even just a little bit about US military aircrafts would have a good laugh... )

yeah, i know, last one was not cars but just too funny to pass
