The 1993-2002 Nissan Quest and the 1993-2002 Mercury Villager use the chassis code VX54.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_VX54_platform

We already have V40/V41 for the Nissan in these year range, we would loose the difference between these two codes

The 2001-12 Ford Escape, 2005-11 Mercury Mariner and the 2001-11 Mazda Tribute chassis code is [U204]

Most of the Mazda already have a EP code; can it be lost?
For the Ford, Australian ones have a specific code, I don't remember how we deal in such case.

EP only applies to the 2001-07 Tribute but what I don’t know is why. I’ll see what i can find on it.

Not anymore !

The most recent ones don't have the EuroFire name, as Magirus doesn't exclusively use Iveco chassis these days. And by the way, I wonder if we should still use the Iveco-Magirus brand for those newer trucks.

See this one, it's clearly written EuroCargo on it : http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_882164-Iveco-Magirus-EuroFire-2012.html

I really should visit this thread more often, if only to prevent more of those silly requests.

For the 1997-2005 Chevrolet Venture, 1997-04 Oldsmobile Silhouette, and the 1997-99 Pontiac Trans Sport & 1999-05 Pontiac Montana, the chassis code is [GMT200]

Do these need it as well?

I mean what criteria shall I put in my query for the update.

Uh ok. For what I see, Brazilian Unos are usually the ones without a code, but I don't know exactly if it's the same for all (there might be some codeless Unos also among the EU-ones). If you want I can put a comment on the ones to be changed

Just brought this up on the 1979-1980 Dodge Vans. According to the official brochure 'Tradesman' was dropped for 1979 and Dodge just used Van as the model name.

Night Cub informed on this thread: http://imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=442012 that we don't use 'Van' as the model name because people argued against it?

The official brochure does not use Tradesman and just uses Van. Can we please change the 5 pages (I can do it if another admin does not want to) to reflect what the official brochures state? Kind of silly to have them labeled incorrectly for those 2 years before the name was officially changed to Ram Van/wagon in 1981.

That thread has the breakdown with the brochures and the list of 5 pages of 1979-1980 that are incorrectly labeled.

We can use Dodge Van? I think Dodge Dodge Van is a bit excessive. Can we use Van as the model? I mean that is what the brochure states.

The model was "Dodge Van", as it is on the badges. I don't object if we just use "Van" as the model name, but it's not completely correct.

I'm thinking about adding the "Mk I/ Mk II" field for Isuzu Troopers and Bighorns, as they all have an UBS-based chassis code. Opinions ?

We list the VW Golf IV Variant with MY 1999. VW's model years are starting in May or June, the SOP of the Varaint was in May 1999 for MY 2000, so that should be changed.
http://www.golf4-ersatzteile.de/modelljahre-golf-4/
The Variant of course get some changes in the following MYs. I'll take a look on them when I finished the hatchbacks.

SOP means 'Start Of Production'. This marks the beginning of batch production in the industry.

Maybe it would be better to have a separate thread for general discussions (don't hesitate to create new threads when it is appropriate), and keep this one just for the mass change requests that I have to manage directly on the server

Looks like the Hyundai Getz has a chassis code of [TB]. There's only a handful that have it listed.
