As discussed in the Non-Unidentified Vehicles thread for the 159 'Alfetta':
158 'Alfetta' .. same logic it was always an "official" nickname
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Alfa+Romeo&model=158+Alfetta&modelMatch=- 1&modelInclModel=on
^I still have my doubts for one of those...

plus.. these were not called ''Sprints'' but simply 1900 C Cabriolet Pininfarina . C for corto -short chassis.

Can the origin be set automatically for DS? Or is it better to leave it unset as some models like the DS9 might be considered Chinese?

Yes it can, but indeed should it?
Otherwise we can also have it depending on the model, like for Ford, VW and a few others.

11+1 model name change..
www.imcdb.org/vehicle.php?id=1397720 ...1932 Alfa Romeo Tipo B ...or Tipo B 'P3'

and same for these 11:
www.imcdb.org/vehicles.php?make=Alfa+Romeo&model=P3+Tipo+B&modelMatch=1&modelInclModel=- on
Note: 2 of those have also Monoposto in the description I'd delete this as we'll have to start naming 10's of these period racecars monopostos!

IMCdB lists Alfa Romeos as Type B, Tipo B, P3 or P3 Tipo B when they are all the same car.
I've done quite a research and the sites that look most legitimate (i.e. not classifieds or Wiki..) document these were officially named just Tipo B from Alfa Works and Scuderia Ferrari teams. Especially 'P3 Tipo B' is misleading as there was no 'P3 Tipo A', just a P2!
I propose all these change to Tipo B or maybe Tipo B 'P3' at the most -because even now sometimes P3 persists but Tipo B should come first as the official model name.
www.motorsportmagazine.com/archive/article/june-1981/112/alfa-romeo-8c35 : how Alfa Works name them in period just Tipo B.
www.finecars.cc/en/editorial/article/news/alfa-romeo-tipo-b-p3/index.html : journalists christened them P3 (i.e. the new P2..)
www.motorsportmagazine.com/archive/article/december-1961/28/alfa-romeo-racing-and-production-cars-1910-1940 :old 1961 article about the use of Tipo B in period and how 'P3' came later in retrospect.

Not strictly on topic for this thread but I had submitted in the comments a re-adjustment of distorted main pic for this one as well

As discussed in the comments section, Austrian-built Chrysler/Jeep bear a different code compared to American ones according to VINs. Would be possible to mass change only Austrian-built ones?
Here the code list:
1992-95 Chrysler Voyager and Grand Voyager are [ES]
1996-2001 Chrysler Voyager and Grand Voyager are [GS]
2001-2008 Chrysler Voyager and Grand Voyager are [RG]:

2005-2010 Chrysler 300C and 300C Touring are [LE]:

I can vouch for the above post. I checked the VINs and this is indeed accurate. Mopar uses the body code for their chassis code. If need be we can link American counterparts to highlight the differences if needed.

i just have a question : what about the ones built in NA but for European market ? do they follow the US or European codes ?

( if already discussed, please excuse/ignore the question, i missed the answer and its about 3 AM here, which is about when weird questions pops in my head.. )

Right question  I pulled the VIN based on Italian plates, so my findings are based on those. The majority of cars I searched were diesel ones since petrol ones here were rare; for Chryslers I didn't find a single one not built in Austria (I think diesel ones were only assembled there, anyway I searched also petrol ones), maybe we should check more Jeeps, especially petrol ones? I think dhill_cb7 pulled some of these in Swedish movies anyway.

Or did you refer to other Mopar models not built in Austria? For those fully imported from the US (Neon, Stratus etc.), they retain the same code as the US

My Question was pretty much covering every Chrysler but we also found out that the NA plants did built some EU_Spec versions of Voyager, Grand Cherokee, Cherokee and maybe more that Austria built as well as NA for EU that i forget . Its mainly those ones i was thnking of

would be weird to have, for example , a NA built/EU Spec Voyager and another one ( Austria built ) of the same generation in a same movie and see a different code..

I understand..if so, we have to find a NA-built EU-specs one to check its code.. so maybe better waiting to check more and more examples?

Maybe it's better to wait for more proof/research for the Grand Cherokee. I can say though that I checked more than a dozen Voyagers in the 1996-2007 range, petrol and diesel ones, and all of them were Austrian built

Not sure if it's possible doing this, but all Renault Megane série 1 [X64] with body style Wagon (various model names, Break, Grand Tour, Grandtour, SW, Station Wagon, Estate..) were built in Turkey.

Sure, done.
I'll update the Austrian Chrysler/Jeep now.
Are 2001 GS or RG ?
Same for the Jeeps, there is an overlap, what is 1999 and 2005 ?

I used the years in which they were replaced, not the model years, since in Europe there are plated 2001 Voyagers that are the older type etc.
The Voyagers to change to RG are the ones that now have RS as code, the Grand Cherokee to update to ZG are ZJ ones, WG are WJ ones and WH are WK ones

A mistake has been made for several years, indeed the VW Passat Variant are called "Passat SW" in France, since the 6th generation (2006+).
Here is the list of affected vehicles, model is "Passat SW" and Made for F.
