Looks like the Highlander was built in Japan through the 2009 model year for the regular model, a mix of Japan and US built ones for model year 2010, and all USA (Indiana; not Ohio, that's Honda) after that. The Hybrids continued to be built in Japan until the 2013 model year, for my 2014+ they were made in Indiana.

As far as Origin, looks like the latest model (2014+, XU50) was designed in the US, and is no longer made in Japan.

http://www.adandp.media/articles/2014-toyota-highlander-improvement-through-engineering

Revisting the Toyota Highlander, I think the 2nd generation (XU40) should also be "Origin: USA". Looking into it, the second generation was designed at the Calty Studios in California by Ian Cartabiano (who is now head of Toyota ED2, the European Design Studio), and was not sold in Japan, just the US, Canada and Australia (as the Kluger). I would leave the "Built In" alone, as they started off in Japan and then production moved to the US, as outlined above. Unless anyone can think of a reason to keep in "Origin: Japan"?

Can you please add GQ as chassis code for all Kia Carnival and Carnival II that now are set as UP? There had been a misunderstanding about the code, but that generation is officially referred as GQ. Thanks in advance

Good  also, could [100GF] be added to Fiat "850 Familiare", to match its commercial counterpart 850T? Thanks in advance

Not a big update, but the 9 [ZVW40W]s (in hindsight) that I added should be merged with its more numerous cousin, [ZVW40]. The only reason I had the W added on the model code is that I went by the full model code on Japanese registration certs.

For the series "Le voyageur", all the vehicles on the page are part of season 1, it is necessary to add "1." in front of each episode number. Season 2 in progress.

antp I think you missed the Bronco II comment. Can you remove the [U15] from the smaller Bronco II?

Their codes were:

[U12] - 4x2 model 1986-1990
[U14] - 4x4 model 1984-1990

http://shopkeysupport.com/sk5com/vin/vin.pdf

Thanks!

Edit: When you applied [U15] to the Bronco the system must have added that code to the smaller Bronco II

Yes indeed. Most were 4x4. I think when I went through them prior I pulled out into extra info the 4x2 models. Those can be manually done as I don’t believe there are too many.

Thanks!

Edit: There were 3 that I saw and changed them to the 4x2 code [U12] and added 4x2 to extra information to differentiate the 4x4 models.

The RAM ProMaster chassis code is VF. This doesn't apply to the ProMaster City.

I think it's OK since that's the Doblò II code, unless there isn't a specific one for the Ram version?

The 2010-2015 Chevrolet Camaro was built in Oshawa, Ontario Canada. Can you please add the tag for those years? 2016+ were moved back to US production.

New to the forums here as suggested by dhill_cb7. Now, I didn't want to create an account for the IMCDb forums at first, because there's too many other accounts I have in other websites that I don't want to leave/deactivate and didn't like how outdated the current page looks of this forums, makes me wanna wait for a Discord server to be created, but oh well... Since a Discord server for IMCDb is likely not happening, I guess I have to get use of this.

MODEL CHANGES & COUNTRY-SPECIFIC NAMEPLATE CORRECTIONS

2013 Suzuki Ertiga [ZE]
Origin: India
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1207973-Nissan-Grand-Livina-L10-2006.html
(Not a GX trim level and the ZE81S chassis code is not needed because there's no actual VIN and plate info available)

Kijang Innova by the Indonesian setting
Year: 2011 (by default, based on the wheel design)
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1258877-Toyota-Innova-AN40-2008.html

INFO UPDATES/CORRECTIONS

Chassis code: [AN40]
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1274841-Toyota-Kijang-Innova-F600-2011.html
Previously made a merge update, but chassis code went forgotten.

Class: Cars, Hatchback
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_976765-Suzuki-Karimun-Estilo-2007.html
Tall roof design doesn't mean it's a mini MPV after all, same story to the JDM MR Wagon that is based on.

Built in: Thailand
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_441263-Toyota-Soluna-AL50-2000.html
Toyota Astra Motor, Toyota's Indonesia distributor didn't built the Soluna locally, they all sourced from Thailand. The taxi versions in a form of XLi trims are just custom orders and still sourced from the Thai plant by the town of Chachoengsao.

Chassis code: [F700]
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_499844-Toyota-Rush-J200.html
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1446568-Toyota-Rush-J700-2010.html
For the first generation Rush and second generation Terios, the Indonesian market only received the long-wheelbase models. Toyota Astra Motor did sold a short-wheelbase J200 Rush in that market, imported from Japan, but it was very short-lived, while Astra Daihatsu Motor in the other hand, didn't brought the J200 Be-Go to that market. Long-wheelbase models' chassis code would start with an initial "F" letter, not a "J", resulting [F700].

EXTRA INFO CLEANUPS

Extra info: S
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1280848-Nissan-Evalia-M20-2012.html
The Indonesian-spec Evalia is only available in one engine, the 1.5 HR15DE I4. The 1.6, 2.0 and the diesel are not available in that market, so "1.5" is not needed in the extra info (edited my old comment to reflect that)

Extra info: (w/ a 2007+ grille)
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1430570-Mitsubishi-Colt-L300-2001.html
I've messed up the timeline of that grille's introduction, it's not 2009+, it was first appeared on the 2007 models (also edited my old comment to reflect that)

YEAR CHANGES

2016 by default as per of that generation's introduction, have confirmed through a research on the internet, the black color was already a part of that generation since its original 2016 launch. The year changes is only identifiable by looking on the side graphic sticker design, which sadly they are not visible in the pic.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1587666-Honda-BeAT-2018.html

2012 by default as per of that generation's introduction in the Indonesian market and "Built in: Indonesia" is not needed, made a full explanation why that tag must be removed in the last post.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1571950-Honda-Brio-DD-2014.html

2012 by default (same as above), this time, we don't know if the year is real or just a hackjob, and no actual plate info available.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1588636-Honda-Brio-DD-2014.html

2010 by default as per of that facelift's introduction in the Indonesian market, because no actual plate info available.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1446916-Toyota-Rush-F700-2012.html

2016 by default as per of that generation's introduction in the Indonesian market, because no actual plate info available.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1587696-Honda-BR-V-DG1-2018.html

2016 by default as per of that generation's introduction in the Indonesian market and "Built in: Indonesia" is not needed, same story as the Brio, made a full explanation why that tag must be removed.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1588626-Mitsubishi-Pajero-Sport-2019.html

2015 by default as per of that generation's introduction in the Indonesian market, 2016 is for other markets outside Indonesia.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1430576-Toyota-Kijang-Innova-AN140-2016.html

2017 by default as per of that trim level's first introduction in the Indonesian market, model name is Innova Venturer because Toyota ditched the 'Kijang' nameplate for the Venturer variants for some strategy reasons.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1588629-Toyota-Kijang-Innova-Venturer-AN140-2018.html
