New to the forums here as suggested by dhill_cb7. Now, I didn't want to create an account for the IMCDb forums at first, because there's too many other accounts I have in other websites that I don't want to leave/deactivate and didn't like how outdated the current page looks of this forums, makes me wanna wait for a Discord server to be created, but oh well... Since a Discord server for IMCDb is likely not happening, I guess I have to get use of this.
MODEL CHANGES & COUNTRY-SPECIFIC NAMEPLATE CORRECTIONS
2013 Suzuki Ertiga [ZE]
Origin: India
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1207973-Nissan-Grand-Livina-L10-2006.html
(Not a GX trim level and the ZE81S chassis code is not needed because there's no actual VIN and plate info available)
Kijang Innova by the Indonesian setting
Year: 2011 (by default, based on the wheel design)
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1258877-Toyota-Innova-AN40-2008.html
INFO UPDATES/CORRECTIONS
Chassis code: [AN40]
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1274841-Toyota-Kijang-Innova-F600-2011.html
Previously made a merge update, but chassis code went forgotten.
Class: Cars, Hatchback
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_976765-Suzuki-Karimun-Estilo-2007.html
Tall roof design doesn't mean it's a mini MPV after all, same story to the JDM MR Wagon that is based on.
Built in: Thailand
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_441263-Toyota-Soluna-AL50-2000.html
Toyota Astra Motor, Toyota's Indonesia distributor didn't built the Soluna locally, they all sourced from Thailand. The taxi versions in a form of XLi trims are just custom orders and still sourced from the Thai plant by the town of Chachoengsao.
Chassis code: [F700]
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_499844-Toyota-Rush-J200.html
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1446568-Toyota-Rush-J700-2010.html
For the first generation Rush and second generation Terios, the Indonesian market only received the long-wheelbase models. Toyota Astra Motor did sold a short-wheelbase J200 Rush in that market, imported from Japan, but it was very short-lived, while Astra Daihatsu Motor in the other hand, didn't brought the J200 Be-Go to that market. Long-wheelbase models' chassis code would start with an initial "F" letter, not a "J", resulting [F700].
EXTRA INFO CLEANUPS
Extra info: S
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1280848-Nissan-Evalia-M20-2012.html
The Indonesian-spec Evalia is only available in one engine, the 1.5 HR15DE I4. The 1.6, 2.0 and the diesel are not available in that market, so "1.5" is not needed in the extra info (edited my old comment to reflect that)
Extra info: (w/ a 2007+ grille)
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1430570-Mitsubishi-Colt-L300-2001.html
I've messed up the timeline of that grille's introduction, it's not 2009+, it was first appeared on the 2007 models (also edited my old comment to reflect that)
YEAR CHANGES
2016 by default as per of that generation's introduction, have confirmed through a research on the internet, the black color was already a part of that generation since its original 2016 launch. The year changes is only identifiable by looking on the side graphic sticker design, which sadly they are not visible in the pic.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1587666-Honda-BeAT-2018.html
2012 by default as per of that generation's introduction in the Indonesian market and "Built in: Indonesia" is not needed, made a full explanation why that tag must be removed in the last post.
https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1571950-Honda-Brio-DD-2014.html
2012 by default (same as above), this time, we don't know if the year is real or just a hackjob, and no actual plate info available.

2010 by default as per of that facelift's introduction in the Indonesian market, because no actual plate info available.

https://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_1430576-Toyota-Kijang-Innova-AN140-2016.html
2017 by default as per of that trim level's first introduction in the Indonesian market, model name is Innova Venturer because Toyota ditched the 'Kijang' nameplate for the Venturer variants for some strategy reasons.

There are a lot of examples like that, that make very little sense. Why do we list the Plymouth Horizon/Dodge Omni as "Origin: France" when the US version has very little to do with the European model (just the body shape), but models from Dacia, Lada and SEAT very rarely get origins of Italy or France? We used to list the early US Ford Escorts as being Euro origin, but the later ones that were based off of Mazda were listed as US-origin. We finally stopped when we realized that the US and Euro models had only the chassis in common. I could point out more inconsistencies.

I don't recall having the US Escort listed as European origin Or that was very long time ago (years and years, at the beginning of the site)
Indeed some of the Italian-sourced vehicles probably would need to have their origin changed. On the other hand it feels weird to have the Lada as Italian origin That's why in the new version we had dual-origin flags, but maybe I should put that in the current site as I don't know if we'll ever have time to finish that new version.
Same for the Horizon/Omni: from what I read in the Wikipedia article it was a work between EU and US (not just the styling), it could also have the dual flags.

Wouldn't it be easier to just use GSJ15 for all models, as a "generic" code?
(like the Jxx codes of the Land Cruiser)

The final letter can have its importance. On J70 Land Cruisers, for instance, there was V or P added to the J75 variants, to make the difference between troop carriers (V) and pickups (P). And contrary to Toyota's usual practice, this was valid on all markets, not just Japan.

IMO the VW Golf VII needs an update: we list it as Typ 5G, but nearly all sources such as the VIN use Typ AU.
https://www.adac.de/rund-ums-fahrzeug/autokatalog/marken-modelle/vw/golf/vii-facelift/
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/VW_Golf_VII
I would even go one step further and give the station wagon its own code, as found in my car:
Typ AUV would affect the Sportsvan as well according to the ADAC.
And I'm not 100% certain, but I think the pre-facelift Variant is even very late MY 2013.

The Typ codes on VW's were never based on VIN numbering, as far as I can recall.
