Yes they match the mk2, but what I meant is that all the Hyundai versions were mk2, so I wondered if the mk was needed for that one.

It does no harm .. and I've no idea whether there were earlier/later generations of Hyundai Granada. Just because we haven't spotted any, does not mean they did not happen - to quote a wise old archaeological piece of advice - "Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence". So we're prepared for all eventualities ...

The 2nd gen looks more like a 3-door hatchback (as it is listed) than a coupé.
For the 3rd gen it could be changed indeed

Agree on the II being a 3-doors hatchback, and I and III more like a coupè.

Agree, so it's for 2009-2015 Mégane RS.

Hi all,

Should the Samsung SM5 1998-2005 models be changed to Japanese Origin, Built in ROK for ROK? The platform used was provided by Nissan.

The SM5 was based on the Nissan Maxima's fourth generation (A32)
.

https://www.autoevolution.com/samsung/sm-5/

Nissan provided tooling and engines to Samsung, which enabled the company to build its first car domestically - the Cefiro.

Samsung built the Cefiro and called it the SM5 when it entered production in 1998. A mix of original Cefiro styling and some of Samsung’s own trim, the SM5 used Nissan engines and had a Cefiro interior rebranded with Samsung logos that were made of Korean materials.

No objection from me. In fact the Japanese Wikipedia goes further and claims the 2nd gen SM5 is also based off the Teana (Cefiro/Maxima's successor), with both models sharing the FF-L platform...

Depends on what is "based on". Is it mostly a rebadging or where there many changes internally/externally?

The internals are purely Japanese origin. ROK imported many parts from Japan for the earlier models.

We can leave as ROK origin if we so choose. No big deal

Could you please set the default Country of Origin for the brand Linde as Germany? Right now nothing is set.

I believe I somewhere read that we planned to do it anyway: renaming the chassis codes of the VW T-models since the T4 because 'Typ 2 / Tx' is not used anymore. So:
Mk 'T4' and 'Typ 70', for all T4;
Mk 'T5' for all T5, 'Typ 7H' for vans, 'Typ 7J' for chassis cabs / pick-ups. And unfortunately it is not MY 2003 but 2004. Some sources use 'Typ 7E' for facelift.
Mk 'T6' for all T6. Codes are'Typ SG' for the pre-facelift ones and 'Typ SH' for the T6.1, but VIN still uses 'Typ 7H'...
So 7H for all T5 and T6 vans I'd say.

Update done for the VW Tx

But still a lot of work for the many Unknowns. Maybe some could be listed simply without model names in the less identifiable ones (or with a default model name)
