I believe I somewhere read that we planned to do it anyway: renaming the chassis codes of the VW T-models since the T4 because 'Typ 2 / Tx' is not used anymore. So:
Mk 'T4' and 'Typ 70', for all T4;
Mk 'T5' for all T5, 'Typ 7H' for vans, 'Typ 7J' for chassis cabs / pick-ups. And unfortunately it is not MY 2003 but 2004. Some sources use 'Typ 7E' for facelift.
Mk 'T6' for all T6. Codes are'Typ SG' for the pre-facelift ones and 'Typ SH' for the T6.1, but VIN still uses 'Typ 7H'...
So 7H for all T5 and T6 vans I'd say.

Update done for the VW Tx

But still a lot of work for the many Unknowns. Maybe some could be listed simply without model names in the less identifiable ones (or with a default model name)

What about the T1/T2/T3 instead? They're currently listed with the same [T2] chassis code now so they need to be splitted.

Indeed year should be 2014 for the Samsung, but are you sure for the "Build in"?
Wikipedia says:
The QM3 was manufactured in the Renault Valladolid Factory, in Spain. With 24,560 vehicles registered in 2015, it was South Korea's best-selling imported car.

And your links also mentions the Renault factory in Spain.

Thanks for the update. I'm going to have a look on T4-T6 unknowns, but just bit by bit.
And I'm going to change the code for the T5/T6 chassis cabs to 'Typ 7J' (as requested back then, but they are just a few so I do it manually), since they have this different code than the vans (just like the Crafter I).

For the unknowns I was thinking to the older ones, but indeed if there are some unknowns in the newer ones it could be good to also give them a default model name if possible instead of keeping them forever unknown.

Lincoln MKT

These were made in Ontario, Canada

Chassis code D472

One other thing we need to work out is whether these should be listed as Wagon or Off-road/SUV? (other than the limos & hearses)

As usual for crossovers
I'd say it looks more like a wagon

After a couple of years I finally noticed that the German military MB 250 GD 'Wolf' was already used since early 1990, but all have already the chassis code W461 (so years before the civil W461 came). Everything confirmed by VINs.
So pleased Change year from 1993 to 1990.
