If its Internet MOVIE Database, why are is there TV series? No qwerty, there aren't many forums (just for famous series like GTA) for video-games. None for Flatout, Burnout Revenge or Midnight Club 3. And the Grand Theft Auto forums SUCK. All they do is swear and there aren't even any forums for the cars. Also, qwerty, if you've watched the movie all the way through, you should know it's vehicles. Many video games come with a DVD that shows how they made the game or facts or anything else. Like in Destroy All Humans, they have a whole section in The Mothership (it is like a home base center) that has movies (Plan 9 From Outer Space and a few others), how they made the game and other odds and ends.
Maybe it isn't a great idea to list them on the existing IMCDB site, but I think it is a spectacular idea to have a branch off of this site for video games (Internet Video-Game Vehicles Database, IVVD). -Explorer4X4

You got me on this  but anyway TV-Series is something more similar to movies, than Games

I've visited a Flatout forum before. I can't remember the name of it, but I know it exists because I wandered in a few weeks ago. You need to look hard. Even if there isn't specific forums, you'll find a section of game forums where someone would know.

That analagy about watching a movie through and knowing all the cars is pretty poor. When I watch a movie, I'm not looking for the cars. I'm paying attention to the story and looking forward to being amused for a couple hours. A video game you spend time concentraiting on getting to the next level and unlocking new vehicles. That's different. You would know what you're trying to acheive. You would know what your next goal was.

No, when I play FlatOut, I am not thinking of getting a new car. If I did that I would hit a tree going 120MPH projecting my driver out of the windsheild. In fact, very few car video games give you a car for winning a race, Flatout, PGR2, MC3:DE, Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Burnout Revenge all don't give you a car. They only give you a couple of bucks to buy a part for a car. And, if you play hardcore like I do, you aren't paying attention to the cars you race against WHILE you are racing, it is to hard not to crash and admire their better cars.
Most video games (PGR2, Midnight Club and NFS) list their cars. But FlatOut doesn't. I can only identify my car (1974 Dodge Monaco sedan) and my previous car (1974 Chevrolet Camaro SS).

Well I certainly hope you aren't thinking about getting a new car while you're driving, but that's not my point. The point is that in a game you're trying to complete the objectives to get to a new car. Yes it rewards you with money to buy a car, but you're trying to get a car nonetheless. As far as I know, PGR2, Flatout, and Need For Speed series have cars locked and as you go through the game you unlock (or you buy) a new car and to finish teh game 100% you have to unlock (or buy) all the cars. Even GTA has a system like that. Sure there's cars roaming, but there are a few specialy cars that you can't get unless you cheat (which is dirty and no fun) or complete the mission.

What about trains? I know, I know the answere will be negative. But, its just a thought. I still think they're should be branch sites for boats, snowmobiles, ATVs and trains. And another branch site for vehicles in videogames.

Well, if you think about it IMDB features movies, tv series and video games (for some unexplained reason), so it would make even more sense for IMCDB to follow - I'd be perfectly happy to contribute seeing as it's my "area"

IMDB lists games because for lost of recent ones there are real actors that give their voice for video sequences.
But we do not have to follow IMDB for everything: they do not list videoclips, but we do...

Well, the cars in videogames are based off of real cars. I really don't see the problem! We should vote....

In videogames you can often add extra cars, which is not possible in movies
And imagine the huge list that it will make for some games...
And except some videos included in the game, they are not real, just a drawing.
For the same reason, cartoon cars listed on IMCDb should be listed separately from the others, but I do not know yet how I will do that.
I think that it is much better to make a site dedicated to all cars in videogames rather than mix that with IMCDb.

Technically, you can buy an old Taurus froma junk yard and ADD it to the movie.

Well, why can't everyone get together and create a branch off of the current website dedicated to videogames? Antoine could run the origenal, and someone else could run the video-game IMCDb (could be IVGDb). There could also be a IMCDb for trains/planes/boats/snowmobiles/ATVs/motor bikes and other odd vehicles, and another branch for cartoon cars.

Isn't that the whole point of life? I'm not gonna be nice about it, so here goes. No one has to do anything for anyone else. It's ultimatly up to the person in power who decides what happens. If you don't like it then do it yourself. That's life. Go find a book about web programming, then get a job so you can buy some webspace, and then go ahead and open a site and allow user submissions or gather pics yourself.

On that basis would you include fictional cars based on real models as well? I still think they should either be included on this site or have a whole new website for it - I could help greatly. One thing I should add though is that it is possible to download game mods, for GTA for example, that replace the fictional cars to real cars. These should not be included as they do not form a part of the original game.

Totally agree, who else thinks we should?

Who knows, if enough of us want to, maybe we could start a new site. Or use the current.
