Thank you!!

I didn't go back far enough in model years, I was looking in the 1932-1934 range.

No problem! Hot Rods are, as you say, usually Fords. The easiest way to tell a Model A from a '32 or newer is the fuel cap in the middle of the cowl. For 1932 they got the fuel tank behind the trunk.

Still trying to figure out this military truck. I would guess an AM General, but it only has a single rear axle. Most of the 5-ton trucks used by the US military have two axles.

Need our Studebaker experts, Didn't get this Hawk up close and saw it as it was driving away, but can't figure out the year. I think it's a late 50's model, but haven't found which year. I think by the taillights were used 1957-1961. And I didn't see the front end.

'61 with that side-trim. Unusual to see one in single-tone.

Couple cars I need help with years.

First up is this DeSoto. I narrowed down the brand by the logo on the grille, and I know it's mid-1930's

And one for dsl, a late Midget. Did they follow some of the same rules as the B?

I don't have a detailed Spridget bible to reference, but it doesn't seem there were as many year-on-year trivial changes recorded. Some fuzziness between UK specs (as my general MG picture book photos) compared to US - eg we had the plate below the bumper which housed the plate lights. The B got black plate lights instead of chrome for 78my, which seems likely change for Midget at same point. One thing which seems definite was Aug 77 change to instrument panel to match B and Spitfire, with accompanying comment that B steering wheel now fitted to US cars - both these features are shown on your example. Midget ended quietly in Nov/Dec 79, so this looks final phase - there was no run-out/celebration edition.

Thanks! :aboire:

I just wish license plates were able to be looked up on older cars here.

Speaking of old cars, my Passat is in the background. It currently is in the shop, getting two new front struts. On Saturday night, a spring literally burst, it sounded like glass shattering, but it still drove, I just noticed the front driver's side was extra bouncy. So I am ramping up my new car search while spending an arm and leg on this one, yay.

It's a 1933. The grille mesh is odd, though - it's supposed to be horizontal. Looks like that of a '36 Ford.

Thanks! I thought it was a Plymouth at first, until I studied the emblem on the grille.
