Even if consulate/diplomatic car, it could be dangerous for its owner to visit Marseille with such plates, as football/soccer supporters from this city don't really like the Paris Saint-Germain (football team from Paris) and could think that it is a provocation

(I'm half joking, in fact, as each match between the 2 teams turns really violent in and out stadiums, and "extreme" supporters seem often to have forgotten they were provided with a brain at birth...)

Well, those topics are not unfamiliar in my area. Not for me, as I'm a total sports-ignorant (the Group B-rallyes were the last sport-events, I enjoyed), but for many people here the rivalry between

and

is a very big thing.

Saw a German plate the other day, nothing special about that but it was on a vintage tractor towing an Eriba caravan. Saw it on the highway outside Trollhättan where I live, only 500-600 km to the German border.

You have seen "Deutz-Willi" (79 y.o.) with his Deutz-tractor (55 y.o.)

I figured this one would go in this thread, a Hot Rod seen in Atlantic City with Quebec license plates. Now I know that the Jersey Shore is Florida for Canadians, and we frequently see Quebec and Ontario plates, but I'm trying to imagine driving this long distance. (my Passat is hiding behind it)

Looks like we are on a tourist exchange program...

Had to go to Montreal today to pick up a friend and saw many US plates, New York and New Jersey being the leading states. Another one was Massachusetts, Pennsylvania and 2 unknown completing the list. No pics as i was too busy finding my way in Montreal's jungle ( except the PA one, i was walking but was too slow to react, the light turned green and it went away ) ) but all of them looked way more comfortable than the Hot Rod from Québec.

That car sure will give them a trip to remember...

Saw a Nova Scotia plate today. I have the pic but i don't know if its my windshield or sun reflexion but it is almost invisible.

I Saw also this one http://www.flhsmv.gov/dmv/specialtytags/graphics/discover_florida_oceans.jpg on a Kia Sorento. it's a bit surprising when you're used to the regular one (was driving, no pic, link for example )

Not about a touristic, but a residental plate:

http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/640x480q90/910/pYkTiQ.jpg

It's an old, pre-1988 Icelandic plate. Does anyone know, if there was an official export of DDR-cars, especially the Trabant to Iceland? Or is it possible to get such plates for pre-1988, but later imported cars?

My plate-fellows are unsure, there are different informations about that.
