CX owner as of today.
1989 Turbo 2, last year of the CX berline.
I was persuaded by the metallic black and the complete lack of rust. Not one remark by the technical inspection.
My 91 Saab 900 is for sale, I would keep it but I have to make room. Send a PM if you want to buy the car at a special forum discount. Previous owner an actual IMCDb admin.

Since Imageshack is gone, I cannot upload pictures any more.
Fortunately right now one of the 29 brothers (only 30 of this not officially available version were made as civil patrol cars for the Argentinian border police) of my daily driver since two years is for sale now:

The only difference is the 'Durango' badge on the back, which mine does not have.
P.S. and it's faster since I let cancel the 110 MPH curbing by these capable guys:

Sad that I don't have room (and use, and time) for it, otherwise it would have been a nice opportunity
Congrats on the CX, it looks very clean

Thanks, I was reading that there are actually fewer CX left and registered than the DS. Could be true.

Both over 1 million. But the CX is decades younger and there are fewer left, they were worth nothing for a long time.

The DS sold almost 1.5 million vs the CX at just a million. So it's quite a bit more.

I guess they also produced less CX?
You are following a common error - the production numbers are in absolutely no relation to the chances to survive as a classic car.
Premium exclusive and sports cars, alao convertibles are much more kept in good state with all maintenance - while dull bread-and-butter-cars (for dsl porridge cars) are going to the scrapyard, when the costs were to high. Worst is the situation with commrtcial versions.
The highest surviving rate you have at Porsche 911, Rolls-Royce - and Land Rover and Unimog.
The lowest at Renault 6, Alfa Arna, Talbot Tagora, all Opel Lieferwagen versions - and the swallow tail Golf I (1974/75 only)

This is true, when the cost of maintaining exceeds the resale value most people give up, except when there's an emotional attachment to the car, which would happen with Beetles and 2CVs, never with a Nutzfahrzeug.

No I know it is not especially linked, but I thought that there were far less CX than DS
And both were the same category.
Of course sports car and luxury cars tend to be better maintained than popular cars, especially low-spec versions.
At some point (in early 80s ?) the DS was worthless too, it was just a common old car, even if it unique style probably helped many to survive.

Further down my street also lives this Citroën hoarder, mostly XM wrecks but one CX.

A week ago I sold the Peugeot 208, as my girlfriend and I are replacing both of our cars by a Toyota Yaris Hybrid.
We ordered it end of March, today we finally got it.
It looks like this, in orange metallic:
At the garage they thanked us for putting some color in the city It was only the second one they were selling in that color. It was a new color for 2022 and it is already not in the catalog any more, so I guess we won't see a lot like ours.

From the VIN some sites say it is not valid, others give Toyota France but with wrong year
However in the "certificat de conformité", Toyota France is mentioned.

Good choice on the color. And winner of Car of the Year 2021. Meanwhile I'm driving Car of the Year 1975.
