I have auto login enabled or thought I had.

It should really say if this isn't working. I am sure it does on other instances.

Edit: Just tried link again and there is no option to log in.

Forum and site use completely different databases and are on different sites.

If you are correctly logged in on the site itself, maybe it is because the link is http but you are logged on the https version?
try https://www.imcdb.org/ajout-movie.php
Otherwise when you are on the site you can click "Add a movie" in the box that shows the recently added movies (which should lead you to the same page as that link).
There is no login option on that page because it was originally for admins only, so it is a rather basic page.

I think I'll stick with my original workaround until the issue is fixed.

When you are on https://www.imcdb.org/ do you see the link "Add a movie" in the box "Last completed movie pages"?
If not, you have to log in first. Then click the link there.
