the little pick-up makes me think more Ford Courier/Mazda pick-up than Chevy ( but i could be wrong, never saw a LUV
Edit : Mazda had turn signal in the bumper , so Ford Courier only, 1977-1982

Honda Accord looks like 1986-1987 to me
@ rjluna2 : I don't deserve any credit for it, i just remembered my Matchbox Ford Courier camper ( which lost the camper part while i still was a kid and the huge dome on top is there to remind me everytime , pic taken from internet and not my Matchbox vehicle.. )
Saw this little MG B convertible today... don't know exactly why the Mark IV on it ..
Might even be its original license plate !

Cool MG B! Nice find.
I agree on the Accord - I think the 1988-89 models had body-colored door handles and bumper/side trim, instead of black like on the 1986-87 models.

Yeah, looks like a fun little thing.. one of my neighbors had 2, a black and a green , has well as some other cars, including a 1946 Chrysler but he moved some years before i got my camera ....
I think ( not sure ) the door handles are more depending on the trim level than the years . A way to know them is the tailights
1986-1987 http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/10683063-4.html
1988-1989 http://gtcarlot.com/colors/car/4891625-3.html
Front turn signal is also changing from amber ( 1986-1987 ) to clear ( 1988-1989 )
Not sure, but i think the hatchback one ( my favorite ) does escape from that rule ...

Crazy, I sold this Fiat one year ago. The new owner have welded up pretty much everything, new paint, renovated the engine and put in some new interior in this short time. Saw it for the first time since I sold it today.

Just returned from 2 weeks on Orkney. Some sightings below. The local scrappie/recycling centre closed some months back, so there's a lot of stuff sitting around decaying gently instead of being cleared - mostly fairly boring 10 year old Astras, Mondeos, Vectras, Passats, Volvo estates etc, but the occasional 306, Mazda 6 and a few early Seat Leons and Audi 80s for variety.
1] What-is-it?? wreck seen in the corner of a stunning view from amazing fish restaurant on South Ronaldsay - almost the last building on Orkney before the land stops.
Maybe Transit??
2] Unexpected little Japanese thing
Apparently a 2001 Suzuki Carry which died in 2011
3] Rover 105R derelict for over 30 years - I remember it from way back when, but now reappeared in view as its resting place has been opened up by new housing
4] Shiny stuff outside a Ford fan's workshop/garage
5] 1979 Maxi 1750 which died in 2012 being resurrected from small island slumber for restoration by a local Maxi-fan. 33,000 on the clock
6] Orkney's full of assorted tractors - one little nest with 1968 (that's what the man said) David Brown Selectamatic 880
.... and a 1971 Selectamatic 990, OST 725J, apparently last taxed in 1985
.... and a 1978 Leyland 245
7] 1988 LHD Renault 4 Savane edition, still in use although DVLA says SORN. No other info apart from this edition not sold in UK and seems UK registered from Feb 2014
8] and saving the best to last ... a RHD 1971 registered Taunus 17M P7b outside another Ford enthusiast's garage - according to one of the mechanics, it's the boss's next project for restoration, specially brought up from Englandshire
Has a 2500 badge on back which suggests re-engined from a Consul??

Also heard of an Orkney collection found stashed in some sheds after the owner died recently. My informant was shown the cars and knows his stuff fairly well - he's slowly restoring a BMW-Isetta 300 and has a 1967 Singer Chamois as the next project - but a few years yet before that one gets going. Anyway, he says he saw:
- a Ferrari 365 - he's not sure which type but says angular with edges so may well be a 365 GTC/4. Definitely not a Daytona. Apparently good condition but would need work to get going again
- a Jensen FF with a Porsche badge on its engine, although apparently a normal Chrysler unit. The story is that it was the actual FF which Audi bought when developing the quattro ... so probably could be traced. Has now been sold on to someone in Englandshire
- a unique (Riley) Autovia fitted from new with a ZF manual gearbox - needs restoration. Apparently Riley ordered it as a one-off fitment and it arrived successfully. Then WW2 broke out the following week so ZF's invoice was never paid. ZF had a competition a few years back to find their oldest working transmission, so the (now deceased) owner contacted them. He didn't win, but ZF still had the unpaid invoice in their now computerised files.
- 3 Jag XK 120s in various conditions, including an aluminium-body roadster
- a VdP 4-litre limousine
- an unstarted dragster project using the chassis from a Bedford truck, with a brand new (still crated) Jaguar tank engine. Presumably from an FV101 Scorpion which used a detuned Jag 4.2 unit, and is still available from military parts suppliers if anyone wants one for eg a slow E-Type.
Not sure if all the info I was told is totally accurate, but am happy most of it is or thereabouts. I missed the local classic show this time, but it usually brings out some very interesting stuff. There's at least one mint Ford T living locally, plus one definite Tickford Capri and rumours of a second, and the Kirkwall Peugeot dealer has a mint Minx Series IIIc in the showroom. Plus loads of folk with lots of old tractors ...

Seen today at the local grocery store.. saw it a few times but finally got the chance to take a pic of it
1983-1989 GMC Jimmy
I see some from time to time, mainly 1991-1994 but rarely in this condition..

1 : Chevrolet Chevy II ( i think , was the Nova's predecessor if my memory still works..
)
2 : 1987-1990 because of the composite headlights ( we have some experts in safety belts that can narrow it even better )
4 : something from Dodge ( i think, but i don't know the model )
5 : 1992-1993 , the Taurus had black handles in the early 2nd gen , then were the same color as the car ( here again, we have more qualified people than me to narrow it )
9 : Honda Civic sedan had horizontal tailights for 1990-1991 , for 1988-1989 they were like this
btw : like the "unmolested"... this is so rare to see one no-molested/no-modified
10 : Not a Tercel but the really rare Corolla FX , quantity limited in USA and not even sold in Canada
12 and last is 1986-1987 Mazda 626 ( at least to me )

Ah thanks. For the Caprice, I had forgotten whether the composite headlights started in 1986 or 1987. And I always the first & second-gen Tauruses mixed up.
A simple 30 minutes at a gas station last night (don't ask) revealed a number of interesting cars to me...
1979 Ford Fairmont Futura
1980-85 Oldsmobile Delta 88 (lady driver didn't want me to get her plates...)
1989 Buick LeSabre (the driver told me that it "rides like a couch"
)
1977 Cadillac Coupe de Ville (sent to me by a friend)

You're welcome
really nice Fairmont Futura...
maybe another rare thing : in the Civic pic, the small silver car really loks like a BMW 318ti
One of my friends had once a 1983 Olds Delta 88...
Edit : not so sure about the 318 now...
