The US consulate - who also sold the Apes - have a good collection. I personally like this:
https://www.vebeg.de/web/de/verkauf/suchen.htm?DO_SUCHE=1&SUCH_MATGRUPPE=1010&SUCH_- KFZMARKE=11&SHOW_AUS=1622320&SHOW_LOS=1
Also look in the background what they have. Its like back in the old days, when we had so many american cars from U.S. soldiers living in the US secotr. I hope that the consulate will sell all cars from time to time and all to public.
But i see one problem which speaks against it: They usually have no EU type approval or general type approval like it says in the text.

I discovered a website selling prints of vintage pictures, including photos of cars, trucks and buses:
http://www.junipergallery.com/
If needed, some of the pictures give an identification of the vehicle.
And so on (995 pictures in the Cars section, 322 in the Trucks, Buses one).

Possibly we have a winner for the most horrible monument...
The "monument" holds up a real DAF truck and is placed in a roundabout in the outskirts of Bologna, Italy.

It's the webshop of a blog called Shorpy.com, where old scanned photographs from public sources (Library of Congress, most of the time) get a new lease of life thanks to some Photoshop wizardry. The results are often astonishing, because glass plate pictures from a century ago could be way sharper than we expect. It's one of the best blogs around, and I used to follow it a few years ago - I've had that first pic as a screen background for a while - but I haven't visited it for more than a year now. Not enough time, unfortunately.

Some website claimed to have "shocking historic photos," but many of them aren't so shocking after all, like this pic of some guys in the 1920's supposedly with a new truck (which they don't mention was made by International Harvester), but it looks more like it's from the early-1900's to me:
