Elva Courier story here. This looks like a Mk1 with split windscteen - Mk2 had single pane curved screen. MGA 1489cc motor, a big proportion of early production went to US, following a block order by Walter Dickson of Continental Motors, allegedly the whole of first year production, very successful in SCCA with reputation as giant slayers - Mark Donahue was an early campaigner.

AH 3000 looks like Mk1 - not a 100/6 (badges, no ridge along top of bonnet vent). Probably a 2/4 seater.

It says Flxette on it so should be a Flxible.

No, it's something self-cobbled, note the front window frame. And you can see, where the C-pillar was cutted.

If an original Karmann, it would be a 1968-1970 1500. After 1970 all VW Cabriolets had the higher McPherson front, because they were 1302 or 1303.
