seen today : black Cybertruck ( aren't they supposed to be all stainless like the DeLorean ? ) with a Montana license plate

I've seen that many have applied covering on their Cybertruck, which sometimes caused issues damaging the steel under it.
Or maybe it was just painted, like what a few DeLorean owners did back then (before vinyl covering was a thing for cars).
